Tej Pratap Yadav membership drive has created a fresh twist in Bihar politics. After being removed from the Lalu family and the RJD, Tej Pratap formed the Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD). Now he wants to grow his new party fast. The Tej Pratap Yadav membership drive aims to pull in young workers and old RJD supporters.

Tej Pratap announced the campaign on Thursday through a social media post. The drive will start on Friday, December 12th, at 1 pm, from his official residence at 26 M Strand Road. He said the Maha Membership Campaign (2025–28) will give a new direction to Bihar. He urged people to join JJD in large numbers and called the campaign an extension of both the family’s legacy and an ideological movement.

Tensions between Tej Pratap and Tejashwi Yadav remain sharp. In the 2025 elections, both brothers supported rival candidates. Even though Tej Pratap lost, he stayed active. If JJD grows, it will hurt the RJD’s core vote base. Tej Pratap has openly said that returning to the RJD is worse than death.

His strong online following, his public activities, and occasional support for the NDA have kept him in the news. The NDA government even boosted his security.

Rumours about a Ritu Jaiswal new party are growing in Bihar. Former RJD Mahila Morcha president Ritu Jaiswal has signalled that she may start a new political front. She said she will interact with the youth and women of Bihar over the next few months. After these talks, the idea of a Ritu Jaiswal new party could move forward.

Ritu wants a party that gives fair space to women, supports young leaders, stops the sale of tickets, and removes nepotism. She also invited public suggestions and welcomed open criticism.

Her move began after she was denied the RJD ticket for the Parihar seat in the 2025 Bihar elections. Earlier, she lost the 2020 election when the party selected Smita Gupta, daughter-in-law of senior RJD leader Ramchandra Purve. Feeling sidelined, Ritu contested as an independent. She secured 65,000 votes, pushing the RJD candidate to third place and helping BJP’s Gayatri Devi win with 82,000 votes.

This result strengthened Ritu Jaiswal’s belief that she has strong public support. Now, her plan to form a new party could shake Bihar’s political landscape, especially among women and young voters.

The Bihar NDA Election Results 2025 show a strong and clear lead for the National Democratic Alliance. Early counting began with postal ballots, and within minutes, the NDA moved ahead in several seats. By 8:30 am, the alliance had already crossed 50 seats. Trends quickly grew stronger, and the Bihar NDA Election Results 2025 suggested a big victory.

By 9:00 am, the NDA was leading in more than 120 seats. Both the BJP and JDU held strong positions, each crossing over 50 leads. These trends created a major setback for Tejashwi Yadav’s Grand Alliance.

Between 10:00 and 11:00 am, the numbers rose sharply. The NDA moved past 170 seats. The BJP gained leads in over 75 seats, while the JDU crossed 70. Chirag Paswan’s LJP also performed well, leading in more than 20 seats.

By noon, the NDA looked set for a huge win. The BJP’s count touched 87 seats. The JDU stood close with 75 seats. LJP and smaller partners also added significant numbers.

These trends show that Bihar’s voters have given a strong mandate to the NDA, bringing the alliance close to a landslide victory.

The Tej Pratap Yadav JJD results are drawing attention across Bihar as counting continues for the 2025 Assembly Elections. Voting began at 8 am, and early trends show Tej Pratap Yadav leading from the Mahua seat. His party, the Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD), is also ahead in one more constituency. These early signs make the Tej Pratap Yadav JJD results important for political watchers.

Tej Pratap is contesting from Mahua in Vaishali district. This seat matters to him because he previously served as an MLA here. His new party has fielded 43 candidates across Bihar. The list includes Jai Singh Rathi from Mahnar, Ravi Raj Kumar from Hisua, Madan Yadav from Shahpur, and Meenu Kumari from Patna Sahib.

Tej Pratap’s emotional campaign moment—showing his grandmother’s photo—went viral and brought sympathy for his party. He claimed that JJD might win 10 to 15 seats and become a key factor in forming the next government.

Experts say the party still faces challenges, mainly in transferring votes. But Tej Pratap’s strong online presence and youth support may help JJD gain ground. The final numbers will show how well the new party performs in Bihar’s competitive political scene.

Security has been tightened across Punjab’s border district of Tarn Taran as counting begins for the high-stakes Assembly bypoll, viewed as a crucial mood-check ahead of the 2027 state elections. The counting process started at 8 am on November 14 at Mai Bhago International College of Nursing in Piddi, where authorities have put in place a multi-layer security arrangement. Extra vigilance has been ordered near the Pakistan border, with BSF patrols significantly stepped up.

The November 11 by-election saw intense campaigning from all major political parties. The key contenders in this four-way fight include AAP’s Harmeet Singh Sandhu, BJP candidate Harjit Singh Sandhu, Congress leader Karanbir Singh Burj, and Shiromani Akali Dal’s Sukhwinder Kaur Randhawa — who is currently leading as the first trends come in.

Adding further complexity to the contest is independent candidate Mandeep Singh, who is backed by hardline Sikh organisations and associated with jailed activist Sandeep Singh as well as MP Amritpal Singh’s group. His presence introduced a strong ideological angle to an already heated electoral battle.

The bypoll took place following the passing of AAP MLA Dr Kashmir Singh Sohal. According to Returning Officer Gurmeet Singh, counting is being held in two separate halls — one designated for EVM votes and the other for postal ballots. Each area is equipped with supervisors, assistants, micro-observers, and polling agents to ensure a fully transparent process.

Bihar Exit Poll 2025 results show a surprising shift in Bihar’s political scene. Exit polls suggest that the NDA has made strong gains in the Yadav vote bank, which has traditionally supported the RJD. Many survey agencies report similar trends, making this shift one of the biggest talking points in the state. The Bihar Exit Poll 2025 numbers highlight how voting patterns are changing across castes.

According to Today’s Chanakya, the NDA may get 23% of Yadav votes, while the Grand Alliance may secure 67%. This change is important because Yadav voters have always played a major role in Bihar elections. Muslim voters continue to back the Grand Alliance with 69% support, while the NDA may get 12%.

Other caste groups also show clear trends. About 58% of Dalit (SC) voters support the NDA. Among Brahmin, Bania, and Rajput voters, nearly 63% favour the NDA. OBC and EBC communities also lean toward the NDA, showing a 55% preference.

The BJP’s strategy of promoting leaders like Mohan Yadav and holding continuous rallies appears to be working. If these exit poll figures turn accurate, Bihar may witness a major political shift this election.

Bihar voter turnout increase marked a major highlight of this election season. The Tirhut region, consisting of six districts with 49 assembly seats, saw an impressive 11% rise compared to 2020. Voters across Muzaffarpur, East and West Champaran, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, and Vaishali participated enthusiastically. Historically, Tirhut has been a stronghold of the NDA, with the BJP winning 26 seats last time.

In contrast, the Mithila region also recorded a steady Bihar voter turnout increase. Darbhanga reported the highest surge with a 7% rise, while Madhubani and Samastipur districts followed closely. Together, Mithila’s three districts account for 30 assembly seats. The NDA continues to perform well here, winning 22 out of 30 seats in the previous elections.

However, this time the dynamics changed as the VIP party switched sides to the Grand Alliance. RJD secured seven seats, while the BJP retained 11. Despite the shift, the NDA remains favored in this Brahmin and extremely backward-class dominated region. The high voter enthusiasm in both Tirhut and Mithila reflects growing democratic engagement and may influence Bihar’s political direction in 2025.

In the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, the Seemanchal region witnessed record-breaking voter participation. The key phrase Seemanchal voter turnout drew attention across Bihar as thousands of voters from Kishanganj, Araria, Katihar, and Purnia showed great enthusiasm in this festival of democracy. The Seemanchal voter turnout surged to over 15 percent higher than the last election, indicating growing public involvement.

Katihar recorded the highest vote share at 79.10 percent, followed by Kishanganj at 78.16 percent. Long queues of women and youth were seen across polling stations, proving the rising political awareness in the region. Despite minor delays due to EVM issues, people remained patient and determined to cast their votes.

Historically, Seemanchal has been a closely contested zone between the NDA, Grand Alliance, and AIMIM. In 2020, the NDA struggled in Kishanganj, while AIMIM and the Grand Alliance dominated. This year’s massive participation may bring a shift in results. However, residents of Devi Nagar village boycotted the polls, demanding better roads.

The remarkable Seemanchal voter turnout is being seen as a strong message of faith in democracy and governance. It symbolizes Bihar’s growing democratic spirit and the region’s desire for change.
