]]> Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal launched the Roshan Punjab campaign worth ₹5,000 crore to make Punjab the first power cuts-free state in India. Kejriwal said this was the first time any government had invested so heavily in power reforms. Under the Roshan Punjab campaign, Punjab will get 24-hour uninterrupted electricity by next year.

The project includes building new substations, laying fresh power lines, and reducing feeder load. Old and unsafe wires are being replaced, while open meter boxes are being sealed to ensure safety. A pilot in Ludhiana (West) succeeded and is now expanding to all 87 subdivisions under 13 municipal corporations, to be completed by June 2026.

A call centre with helpline 1912 has been set up in Mohali to help consumers. CM Mann said 90% of Punjab households now receive zero electricity bills, giving huge economic relief.
