The Private and Government Data Racket Busted operation exposed a network that collected Aadhaar numbers, PAN details, mobile numbers, vehicle records, and bank information. The gang sold this data to cybercrime groups abroad, including contacts linked to Bangladesh.

Police identified the accused as Rishabh Kumar and Sahil Kumar from Muzaffarpur, Sudhanshu Kumar from Darbhanga, and Deepak Chaudhary from Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh. Officers seized several mobile phones and an iPad during the raid.

Investigators said the group used fake SIM cards, Telegram tools, and online software to gather personal data. They then shared the information through encrypted channels.

Police have frozen bank accounts holding about ₹4 lakh. The investigation continues as officers search for more people linked to the racket.

Officials warn that Aadhaar misuse has increased with both photocopy and biometric fraud. People are advised to use masked Aadhaar, lock biometrics on UIDAI, and track usage history. Updating mobile and email in Aadhaar helps receive alerts. Always visit authorized Aadhaar centers for corrections and check SIM status on the Sarathi portal.

Staying alert and using UIDAI safety tools can prevent Aadhaar-based cyber fraud in Bihar.
