New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested four additional suspects in connection with the 10 November blast near Delhi’s Red Fort, which killed at least 15 people and injured several others. With these arrests, the total number of accused in the case has risen to six, officials said.

The newly arrested individuals include Dr Muzammil Shakeel Ganai from Pulwama (J&K), Dr Adeel Ahmed Rather from Anantnag (J&K), Dr Shaheen Saeed from Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), and Mufti Irfan Ahmad Wagay from Shopian (J&K). Three are medical professionals, while the fourth is a religious preacher. The Patiala House Court granted custody to the NIA, which took the suspects into Srinagar for interrogation.

State prosecutors highlighted that the blast was meticulously planned, involving a combination of local and cross-border operatives. Authorities are interrogating the accused to identify all links and uncover the broader conspiracy behind the attack. Earlier, the NIA had arrested Amir Rashid Ali and Jasir Bilal Wani alias Danish, linked to the explosives-laden Hyundai i20 used in the blast and the attempted recruitment of a potential suicide bomber. On Tuesday, Wani was remanded to 10 days of NIA custody by a special NIA court at Patiala House.

According to the agency, the suspects are part of a white-collar terror module dismantled by Jammu & Kashmir police in coordination with authorities in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. During the investigation, a lead emerged from Al Falah University in Faridabad, where 2,900 kg of explosives were recovered.

The NIA, which formally took over the case on 11 November, continues to probe multiple angles, including financing, recruitment, and logistical support, as investigators work to dismantle the terror network entirely.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui, the founder of the Al Falah Group, in connection with an alleged money laundering case linked to the Al Falah Charitable Trust. The arrest was carried out under Section 19 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002, following a detailed investigation and scrutiny of evidence obtained during nationwide raids.

According to the ED, the operation included searches at 19 locations across Delhi, covering the premises of Al-Falah University and the residences of key personnel associated with the group. These searches were part of an ongoing probe into allegations that the Faridabad-based Al-Falah University obtained fraudulent accreditation through improper means.

Officials confirmed that incriminating documents, digital records, and financial trails were recovered during the searches, leading to Siddiqui’s arrest. The agency alleges that funds routed through the Al Falah Charitable Trust were manipulated and misused, violating money laundering norms.

The case stems from earlier complaints about suspicious financial transactions and questionable accreditation practices involving the university. The ED said Siddiqui will be produced before a special PMLA court, where further custody may be sought for interrogation.

The investigation continues as the ED examines the financial structure, records, and beneficiaries linked to the Al Falah Group.

The Delhi blast probe has uncovered a major terror plan involving 32 vehicles packed with explosives. Investigators revealed that the suspects, including doctors from Al-Falah University, were preparing for coordinated attacks in multiple cities.

According to officials, the accused planned to divide into four groups, each carrying several improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The Delhi blast probe also found that Dr. Umar and Dr. Muzammil intended to replicate a 26/11-style attack in Delhi on December 6, the anniversary of the Babri demolition.

Police recovered coded diaries from rooms 4 and 13 on the Al-Falah University campus, where Umar and Muzammil lived. These diaries detailed two years of secret planning and chemical purchases. Investigators say ammonium nitrate was sourced from Nuh in Mewat, while over 20 quintals of fertilizer were procured from Gurugram and nearby areas.

The accused reportedly raised around Rs 20 lakh in cash to fund the operation. Several fertilizer shops in Nuh are now under surveillance by Delhi Police and Jammu and Kashmir Police.

Authorities have intensified raids to find the remaining vehicles and track down the supply network. Future security measures are expected to include AI-based vehicle tracking and integrated explosive detection systems to prevent similar plots.
