They noted that strengthening ties will improve supply chains, boost economic cooperation, and reinforce strategic stability in the international arena.</p>
<p data-start="763" data-end="1093">Bilateral trade reached USD 23.66 billion in 2024, with Indian and Canadian companies expanding in each other’s markets. The ministers praised the role of Canadian provinces and Indian states in facilitating economic growth and committed to closer collaboration on climate action, renewable energy, and environmental protection<a href="https://www.indiapodcast.com/">.</a></p>

<p data-start="411" data-end="737">In India, starting October 13, Anand will meet External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal. Discussions will focus on trade diversification, energy transformation, and strategic cooperation. She will also visit Mumbai to engage with Canadian and Indian businesses to boost investment and jobs.</p>
<p data-start="739" data-end="1102">The visit follows recent efforts to reset India-Canada relations, including the G7 meeting between Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Mark Carney. New High Commissioners, Christopher Cooter and Dinesh K. Patnaik, have been appointed.
