Hyderabad: Former Telugu action hero Bhanu Chander has extended his full support to Congress candidate Naveen Yadav in the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election. In a selfie video message, the actor urged voters to ensure Naveen Yadav wins with a massive majority, praising his leadership qualities and calling him a “tiger, not a cat,” referencing his father, senior leader Chinna Srisailam Yadav.

Bhanu Chander expressed confidence that Naveen has a bright political future and will earn a great name in Telangana politics. Despite senior leaders like Anjan Kumar Yadav in the constituency, the Congress high command chose Naveen due to his youth appeal, active participation, and grassroots connect.

Congress Leaders Pacify Anjan Kumar After Jubilee Hills Ticket Denial

Amar Desai — Fri, 10 Oct 2025 07:59:08 +0000

Hyderabad: Discontent erupted within the Congress after senior leader Anjan Kumar Yadav was denied the Jubilee Hills by-election ticket, which went instead to Naveen Yadav. Supporters of Anjan Kumar staged a protest, questioning the party’s decision to give the ticket to an “outsider” while overlooking a long-time loyal leader.

They asked ministers why a senior leader who stood by the party during tough times was being sidelined. In response, AICC Chief Secretary Viswanath and ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Vivek Venkatswamy visited Anjan Kumar’s residence on Friday to pacify him and his followers. The leaders assured him that the party values his contribution and will recognize his loyalty appropriately.

Despite the assurances, Anjan’s supporters expressed disappointment, saying it was unfair to ignore a veteran leader who had served the party faithfully through difficult political phases.

# Political Tug-of-War Over Jubilee Hills Ticket

Amar Desai — Thu, 18 Sep 2025 05:55:30 +0000

A new political twist is unfolding within the Congress party over the Jubilee Hills Assembly ticket , sparking heated discussions at Gandhi Bhavan. Former MP Anjan Kumar Yadav , who had remained silent until recently, has suddenly intensified his efforts to secure the ticket. Party insiders suggest that his push is being backed by senior leaders within the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC).

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is reportedly supporting either Naveen Kumar or former minister Danam Nagender for the same seat. This has created a situation where PCC leaders and the Chief Minister appear to be at odds over the candidate selection.

The contest reflects not only internal divisions but also the importance of Jubilee Hills, a high-profile constituency in Hyderabad. With both the PCC and the CM pushing different names, the final decision is likely to reveal much about the balance of power within the state Congress.
