Authorities confirmed the total bounty value of the surrendered group was ₹50 lakh. The group included 10 women and 17 men. One Maoist had a reward of ₹10 lakh, while others carried bounties ranging from ₹1 lakh to ₹9 lakh. Most of them were involved in providing logistical support and local mobilisation in the Bastar region.

Police officials attributed the development to the success of the Chhattisgarh Navsankalp Surrender Policy and Niyat Nella Nar scheme. They said continuous security operations and rehabilitation measures encouraged many to give up arms and join mainstream society.

Officials expect the mass surrender to weaken the Maoist network in southern Chhattisgarh. The government plans to rehabilitate the surrendered cadres through financial aid and vocational training. The district administration called the event a “turning point” in the fight against extremism and a “victory for dialogue over destruction.”
