Speaking in Delhi, he said the Union government is preparing a Bill to give Amaravati full legal status. Moreover, he confirmed that the Bill is almost ready and may be introduced in the current Lok Sabha session or in the next session.

He explained that the Centre is designing fast-track plans to shape Amaravati as a long-term capital. However, he added that a few technical reasons caused delays in the Bill. He clarified that officials are completing the pending procedures quickly to move forward without confusion.

Pemmasani also stated that the Centre is debating whether to recognise Amaravati as the capital from 2014 or to consider the status from the present timeline. After this internal discussion, the Centre will push the Bill in Parliament. According to him, this decision will remove long-standing doubts over the capital issue.

Major discussions on the district reorganization in Andhra Pradesh are moving forward once again. Today, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will meet the Cabinet Sub-Committee for another detailed review. Yesterday, he advised the panel to avoid merging Markapuram, Madanapalle, Rampachodavaram and Chinturu divisions while forming new districts. He also offered fresh suggestions on boundary changes and new revenue divisions.

After receiving these directions, the committee began drafting another updated report. The revised version will be presented today, and the Chief Minister will lead the final discussion. Meanwhile, officials indicated that Addanki and Kandukur constituencies in Prakasam district could be included in the list. Furthermore, the creation of new revenue divisions in Addanki and Madakasira may receive positive consideration.

The government earlier placed the proposal for Banaganapalle revenue division on hold. However, officials plan to push the idea of shifting the Gudur division from Tirupati district to Nellore. They also want to review the proposal to move the Nagari division from Chittoor to Tirupati. These issues are expected to shape the final structure of the district map.

With today’s review, the government aims to bring clarity to pending proposals. Additionally, senior officials believe that the Chief Minister may issue key decisions that will influence administrative boundaries across the state. A final announcement may follow soon after the meeting concludes.

A key meeting on Andhra Pradesh district bifurcation will be held today under Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership. The Cabinet Sub-Committee formed to study the reorganisation will attend the meeting at 12:30 PM. Proposals related to the new Markapuram and Madanapalle districts may be discussed. The Chief Minister will also review plans for new districts and changes in revenue divisions.

The Cabinet Sub-Committee has given special attention to correcting irregularities made during the previous government. Ministers Anagani Satya Prasad, Nadendla Manohar, Nimmala Ramanaidu, BC Janardhan Reddy, Vangalapudi Anita, Narayana, and Satya Kumar Yadav submitted the final report to the Chief Minister. He issued several guidelines earlier, including keeping entire constituencies within a single division.

Markapuram and Madanapalle were recommended as district headquarters. Boundary changes of several constituencies will be discussed today. Proposed changes include shifting Nuzividu to NTR district, Kaikaluru to Krishna district, and Gudur back to Nellore district. Gannavaram’s future placement will also be presented. Six new revenue divisions may be created across the state.

The reorganisation must be completed by December 31 as per population rules. The sub-committee held its first meeting on August 13. Later, officials collected requests from the public, representatives, NGOs, and district collectors. Around 200 petitions were examined before preparing the detailed report.

Farmers across Andhra Pradesh continue to struggle with a shortage of urea, causing frustration and protests. With insufficient fertilizer, cultivation has slowed, and farmers wait desperately at IKP centers hoping to secure even a single bag.

Leaders from the ruling YSR Congress Party have also faced public anger, with protests erupting in several regions. The demand for proper urea supply reached the Krishna district Zilla Parishad (ZP) general body meeting this week. Several ZPTC members questioned officials about the ongoing scarcity.

However, when the NTR district agriculture officer claimed there was no shortage of urea, tensions escalated. Outraged ZPTCs accused officials of lying and surrounded the meeting stage. They demanded the officer withdraw her remarks. The situation worsened when police forces entered the meeting hall to control the protest.

ZPTC members objected strongly to the heavy police presence, questioning the district collector on why so many personnel had been deployed. The meeting ended in chaos, reflecting the growing unrest among farmers and local representatives. Critics say the government must act quickly to restore trust by ensuring timely fertilizer distribution.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu issued a sharp warning to YSRCP chief and former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday. He addressed a massive public rally organized under the banner “Super Six–Super Hit” by the ruling alliance parties.

Naidu mocked Jagan’s claims on medical colleges. He asked whether Jagan even knows what it takes to establish one. Land allocation alone will not create a college, Naidu said. He pointed out that out of 17 promised colleges, only one was completed. Naidu added that his government introduced the PPP model to speed up projects.

The CM challenged Jagan to discuss medical colleges in the Assembly. He claimed credit for implementing SC categorization and accused YSRCP of losing ground across the state. Naidu said YSRCP leaders shut their offices and now rely only on social media propaganda.

Naidu also warned that people, not the ruling coalition, decide opposition status. He dared YSRCP leaders to face debates in the Assembly instead of shouting outside. Standing alongside Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, Naidu declared they are not afraid of threats. He warned that violent politics will face strong resistance from the people.

Minister Nara Lokesh has urged colleagues to firmly counter what he described as the conspiracies of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) disguised under farmer-related issues. Ahead of the cabinet meeting, Lokesh held a breakfast session with ministers and discussed several key state matters.

He inquired about the availability of urea across districts, to which ministers confirmed sufficient stocks everywhere. Lokesh also highlighted the government’s achievement of filling more than 16,000 teacher posts, while criticizing former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy for failing to conduct even a single proper DSC. Ministers suggested organizing a felicitation meeting with DSC candidates.

Lokesh also revisited last year’s Budameru floods, blaming Jagan’s five years of negligence for the breach of the bund. He said the government had learned lessons from that incident and is fully alert this year, with departments coordinating to handle challenges effectively. He directed in-charge ministers to meet local party workers and resolve their issues through grievance sessions.

Referring to YSR’s death anniversary, Lokesh criticized Jagan’s attitude towards his mother, stating the public had witnessed his indifference. Discussions during the meeting also touched upon the current political developments in neighboring Telangana.
