Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan approached the Delhi High Court seeking protection of his personality rights. He stated that several individuals were posting content on social media that damaged his reputation. Moreover, his counsel informed the court that many such posts were circulating on e-commerce platforms as well. Pawan Kalyan requested strict action against these unauthorised activities.

The court heard the petition today and issued key directions. It ordered the removal of all objectionable links within seven days. Additionally, it instructed Pawan Kalyan’s legal team to submit the URLs of the disputed posts to the concerned social media companies within 48 hours. The court then adjourned the case to December 22 for the next hearing.

Several top Telugu actors recently filed similar petitions. Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna and Jr NTR approached the High Court earlier, seeking protection for their names and likeness. Their concerns mainly involved unauthorised use of their identity through AI-generated images and misleading online content.

Furthermore, many Bollywood celebrities, including Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai, raised comparable issues in the past. They argued that their images and names were being misused for commercial gain without consent. Hence, more celebrities are turning to courts to safeguard their digital identity.

Cognizant’s AI Technology Center to Drive Growth

Cognizant received 22.19 acres in Kapuluppada to establish a large-scale AI Technology Center with an investment of ₹1,600 crore. The company aims to create 8,000 jobs through this project. Although the full-fledged campus will be ready by 2029, Cognizant will immediately begin operations from the Mahati building on Rushikonda Hill-2. This early start is expected to accelerate the region’s growth momentum.

Additional AI Investments Strengthen Hill-2

Alongside Cognizant, Sritek Tammin will also build an AI Technology Center on Hill-2.
Sattva Developers to Build Major IT and Data Center Campus

Furthermore, in IT Park Hill-4, Bengaluru-based Sattva Developers will set up the Vantage Vizag Campus, which includes IT space and a modern data center. The government allocated 30 acres to the firm, and it plans to invest ₹1,500 crore to create 25,000 jobs. This project stands out as one of the largest private investments in the region, and it is expected to significantly elevate Visakhapatnam’s IT infrastructure.

Multiple Companies Begin Construction in Kapuluppada

The Andhra Pradesh government has urged the Union Jal Shakti Ministry to halt new irrigation projects being taken up by Telangana on the Krishna River. Telangana issued a GO on September 16 to prepare DPRs for 16 new projects in Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Ranga Reddy, Warangal and Khammam districts. AP officials say the Centre has not cleared these works. They also stated that Telangana initiated 42 new projects after the state bifurcation.

AP’s Water Resources Department wrote that projects need approval from the CWC, Apex Council and KRMB. The department asked the Centre to stop any new construction until all permissions are completed. Officials claim that these new works may affect AP’s share of Krishna water. They therefore requested the Centre not to grant any approvals for now.

Sources say AP informed the Centre that its interests may face harm if Telangana moves ahead. They also stated that AP expects the Centre to issue clear instructions soon. An official statement from AP is yet to be released.

If the letter is officially confirmed, political circles are keen to see how Telangana will respond. Observers expect the issue to become a major inter-state matter.

The AP Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has taken a major step to resolve issues faced by Amaravati farmers. The authority will now accept farmer complaints every day at its main office. APCRDA Commissioner Kannababu announced the new system. He said a special counter has been set up on the ground floor of the Rayapudi office. Farmers can submit applications from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on all working days.

Farmers can raise issues like land allotment, layout development, boundary disputes, plot registration, and pending annual payments. Officials believe this system will reduce stress among farmers. They expect it will also improve transparency and communication between the government and landowners in the capital region.

Earlier, officials accepted complaints only once a week or once a month. The new policy aligns with the current government’s directive to resolve farmer concerns quickly. Authorities aim to fix layout boundary stones, pending land pooling matters, and village survey issues within a fixed time.

Commissioner Kannababu and other officials have already met farmers several times. They assured them of timely solutions. The daily grievance desk is expected to rebuild trust and support smooth progress of Amaravati development works.
