At the same time, a car approached from the opposite direction. The car hit the two-wheeler at high speed. Due to the impact, the bike lost balance and moved forward. The pillion rider was thrown aside and fell near the roadside. The rider was also flung forward and landed on the road.

During the same sequence, the uncontrolled bike hit another person standing by the roadside. As a result, three persons sustained serious injuries. The front portion of the car was damaged in the collision. Local residents reacted immediately and began rescue efforts. An ambulance was informed without delay.

The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police reached the spot after receiving information. CCTV footage of the accident was examined. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway. Repeated accidents in Neppalli have raised safety concerns among villagers.

At the swearing-in ceremony of the AP Road Development Corporation (APRDC) directors in Vijayawada, Reddy blamed the previous YSRCP regime for the poor condition of state roads. He said thousands of kilometers had turned unfit for travel during that time.

Since taking office, the coalition government has finished repair works worth ₹1,061 crore in five months. Reddy said the government is now developing key roads under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model without adding toll burdens on the public.

APRDC Chairman Pragadha Nageswara Rao urged the new directors to inspect roads in their regions and submit reports to the minister. Managing Director Srinivas Reddy administered the oath to 14 directors during the event.
