How to start building a career in the age of AI is a question many young professionals are asking as organisations shift priorities. Companies are increasingly investing in AI technologies while reducing entry-level roles, reshaping the landscape for new entrants.

Experts say the key is continuous learning and upskilling. Entry-level candidates should focus on developing digital literacy, data analysis skills, and familiarity with AI tools relevant to their industry. Online courses, certifications, and hands-on projects can give an edge.

Networking and mentorship also matter. Connecting with professionals in AI-driven roles can help newcomers understand market trends and identify opportunities. Internships and small-scale projects are valuable ways to gain practical experience, even if traditional entry-level jobs are limited.

Flexibility is crucial. Many organisations now seek hybrid skill sets—combining domain knowledge with AI or automation expertise. Adapting to evolving roles, embracing lifelong learning, and understanding how AI augments human work can help new professionals remain competitive.

How to start building a career in the age of AI depends on curiosity, adaptability, and readiness to learn. Those who embrace these principles are likely to thrive in a workplace increasingly shaped by technology.

Adapt to global changes, upskill continuously, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu told students on Thursday, calling these habits essential for success in a fast-changing world. He said education must prepare learners for real-life challenges, not just examinations.

Speaking at a programme in Kuppam, the Chief Minister highlighted experiential learning as a key pillar of modern education. He said students should gain hands-on exposure through projects, internships, and problem-solving activities. Such learning, he noted, builds confidence and practical skills.

Mr. Naidu also stressed the growing role of artificial intelligence in the knowledge economy. He said both students and teachers must understand and use AI tools responsibly. According to him, technology should support creativity, innovation, and critical thinking, not replace them.

The Chief Minister urged teachers to update their skills regularly and adopt new teaching methods. He said continuous learning among educators will directly improve student outcomes.

Adapt to global changes, upskill continuously, he reiterated, adding that these principles will help young people remain relevant in competitive global markets. He assured that the State government is working to strengthen digital infrastructure and modernise curricula to align education with future needs.

He stated that India aims to become the world’s most sustainable intelligence hub. In a post on X, Adani highlighted that the nation stands at the intersection of clean energy and AI, the twin forces of the future.

Adani announced that the Adani-Google partnership at Visakhapatnam will help create an energy-efficient AI future led by India. The project involves developing India’s largest AI data centre campus and new green energy infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh. This collaboration between Adani Enterprises’ AdaniConneX and Google marks a major milestone in India’s AI growth journey.

The new facility will include Tensor Processing Units (TPUs) and Graphical Processing Units (GPUs) to power advanced AI applications. It will support sectors like healthcare, agriculture, logistics, and finance by accelerating AI-driven innovation. Adani emphasized that this project will empower India’s brightest minds to solve complex challenges.

Google’s AI hub in Visakhapatnam represents a $15 billion investment over five years (2026–2030).

A new IDC report shows that global telecom companies are rapidly adopting artificial intelligence (AI) to improve operations, customer service, and fraud prevention. These initiatives are already boosting efficiency and profitability across the industry.

AI-powered predictive maintenance and automated support systems are increasing EBITDA margins. Personalized offerings and dynamic pricing enhance customer satisfaction and reduce churn. AI-based fraud detection tools also strengthen compliance and customer trust. Together, these advances help telecoms monetize technologies like 5G and edge computing more quickly.

IDC forecasts that global spending on telecom and pay-TV services will reach $1.53 trillion in 2025, a 1.7% annual increase. The report identifies mobile services as the main revenue driver, supported by rising data use and the growth of machine-to-machine (M2M) applications.

Fixed data services are expanding as demand for high-bandwidth connectivity rises. IDC projects the global connectivity market will grow at a 1.5% compound annual rate over the next five years. Despite inflation and competition, the outlook remains positive. IDC experts believe AI will soon become a core driver of sustainable telecom growth worldwide.

India aims to become a $30 trillion economy by 2047 under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Viksit Bharat” vision. To achieve this, mastering technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing is crucial. Andhra Pradesh is now at the center of two major technological milestones shaping this vision.

Amaravati will soon host India’s first “Quantum Valley” for research and innovation, while Google will invest $15 billion in a 1-gigawatt hyperscale data center in Visakhapatnam. Similar to how Microsoft transformed Hyderabad’s IT landscape, these projects will make Andhra Pradesh a hub for global digital infrastructure.

The Google AI hub will use advanced liquid cooling systems, reducing water and power use by 20%. It will also generate 80% of its electricity from solar power. With India now producing 20% of global data but having only 3% storage capacity, Visakhapatnam’s data center expansion is a timely move.

Experts predict this initiative could create over 150,000 jobs. The government plans to focus on AI skill development to meet workforce demand. If successful, Google’s Visakhapatnam hub could solidify India’s position as a global AI powerhouse.
