India’s rising global stature has revived an important debate: Should the country continue its traditional restrained diplomacy, or respond to Pakistan and China in the same aggressive tone they use against New Delhi? Recent controversies—Pakistan attacking the Ayodhya Ram Temple celebrations and China detaining an Arunachal Pradesh woman at Shanghai Airport—have reignited calls for a more assertive Indian approach.

Analysts argue that if Pakistan can raise the Ayodhya issue at international forums and China can repeatedly claim Arunachal Pradesh, then India must openly spotlight Islamabad’s human rights abuses in Balochistan and Beijing’s pressure on Taiwan. With India now among the world’s top economies, a major defence power, and a key geopolitical player, critics believe the old “we don’t interfere in others’ internal matters” approach is outdated.

Pakistan remains burdened by economic collapse and IMF dependence, while China faces slowing growth, demographic decline, and growing global distrust. Experts say this provides India with a strategic opportunity to strengthen ties with Taiwan, expose Balochistan repression, and counter both nations diplomatically.

With China–Pakistan alignment deepening, strategic voices insist that India must shed defensive diplomacy and adopt a confident, proactive stance befitting a “New India” in 2025.

The PM Modi Hoists Saffron Flag Ram Temple Spire ceremony in Ayodhya marks a historic moment as the Prime Minister visits the holy city on Tuesday. He will hoist a saffron flag atop the Ram Temple spire, signalling the formal completion of the grand temple’s construction. Devotees and dignitaries have gathered in large numbers for the event, which many describe as a symbolic “second pran pratishtha.” The PM Modi Hoists Saffron Flag Ram Temple Spire event highlights a major milestone nearly a year after the consecration of Ram Lalla on January 22, 2024.

The triangular saffron flag represents dignity, unity, and cultural continuity. Officials explained that the emblem reflects the ideals of Ram Rajya and carries deep spiritual significance. After the hoisting, the Prime Minister will address the gathering and share reflections on the temple’s importance for millions of devotees across the country.

Security teams tightened arrangements across Ayodhya. Senior police and paramilitary units monitored routes leading to the temple complex. Authorities installed additional surveillance systems to manage the massive crowd and ensure smooth movement.

The ceremony holds immense cultural and religious value, marking the final declaration of the completion of the Ram Mandir.

Ayodhya is gearing up for the grand Ayodhya Dharma Dhwaja Installation, and excitement continues to rise across the temple town. The Ayodhya Dharma Dhwaja Installation will take place tomorrow at the Ram Mandir, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend as the chief guest for the sacred ceremony.

The special Dharma Dhwaja, crafted in Ahmedabad with three thick fabric layers and a religious emblem dedicated to Lord Ram, weighs nearly 11 kilograms. Temple officials say the flag will rise to a height of 191 feet, marking a powerful spiritual milestone for the newly built shrine.

Ayodhya looks vibrant ahead of the event. Workers continue decorating the Mandir complex with colourful lighting and thousands of flower arrangements. Reports indicate that nearly 100 tonnes of flowers have already reached the city for the celebration.

Volunteers, priests and temple staff say the ceremony represents devotion, unity and gratitude. They describe the preparations as an honour, especially for those contributing to the landmark moment. Surrounding temples will also hoist ceremonial flags at the same time, strengthening the festive atmosphere.

Thousands of visitors are expected in Ayodhya on Monday, as the city prepares for one of its most awaited religious rituals.

He was speaking at the NSG’s 41st Raising Day ceremony in Manesar, Haryana. Shah paid tribute to personnel who sacrificed their lives, calling their service a symbol of courage and dedication.

Highlighting the NSG’s legacy since 1984, Shah praised its decisive role in major operations like the Akshardham and 26/11 attacks. He announced the establishment of a new NSG hub in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, expanding the elite force’s network to seven hubs across India, including Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Jammu.

The Home Minister reaffirmed India’s “zero terrorism policy” under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He mentioned legal reforms and operations such as the abrogation of Article 370, surgical strikes, and air strikes that weakened terror networks. Shah also referenced “Operation Sindoor” and “Operation Mahadev,” which targeted terror camps and operatives.

He also appreciated the CAPF’s contribution to environmental protection, noting 6.5 crore saplings planted since 2019. Shah laid the foundation for a Rs 141 crore Special Training Centre in Manesar to strengthen counter-terror training for commandos.
