According to reports, a man from the Hindu community posted a message online saying, “I Love Mahadev,” urging it to trend in response to “I Love Mohammad.” The post reportedly angered members of the Muslim community, who later confronted the boy at his shop. When he fled, the group vandalised and set the shop on fire.

During the confrontation, more than eight vehicles were damaged, including two police vehicles, as officers tried to control the situation. Footage from the scene shows men throwing stones, some carrying rods, while residents, including women, fled in panic.

Authorities quickly deployed additional police forces to restore order and prevent further escalation. Though no fatalities have been reported, several people sustained injuries in the violence. Efforts are underway to identify and arrest those responsible.

Police have urged residents to avoid provocative social media posts and cooperate with the ongoing investigation. Locals were seen dousing fires and assessing the damage to vehicles and property.

The incident highlights how online content can quickly escalate into real-world conflict, especially during large community gatherings like Garba.
