Banks have been told to review internal security systems, improve monitoring, and strengthen protection against hacking and online fraud. Experts believe future banking products may need stricter security checks before launch.

The RBI also stressed that cyber resilience and stronger digital defence systems are necessary to protect customer data and maintain trust in the banking system.
