Many expected her to contest from the Benipatti seat, but BJP chose Vinod Narayan Jha again. This ended all political guesses.

Maithili Thakur’s meetings with BJP leaders Vinod Tawde and Nityanand Rai earlier created strong buzz about her entry into politics. People thought she would get a BJP ticket because of her huge fan following. But the new list shows BJP has not decided to field her yet.

Supporters expressed surprise online. They believe Maithili could have helped the party in Mithilanchal, where she enjoys massive popularity.
