They damaged a statue late on Sunday night and tried to block the road on Monday morning. The police reached on time and stopped their plans. The Bhagalpur social harmony incident worried local people, but officers acted fast to calm the situation.

A large police force, including senior officials like the SP (City) Shubhkank Mishra and DSP Rakesh Kumar, arrived at the spot. They removed the blocked road and guided the crowd to stay peaceful. A new statue was installed at the temple soon after. Police officers also spoke to the community to prevent further tension.

In the fast-changing political scene of Bihar Elections, leaders are switching parties ahead of the polls. BJP MLA from Pirpainti, Lallan Kumar, has officially joined the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). The move was confirmed after Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, Leader of the Opposition, welcomed him into the party.

Lallan Kumar also met former Chief Minister Rabri Devi during his joining ceremony. Sharing photos on Facebook, he wrote, “May the caravan of Rashtriya Janata Dal keep growing. From today, I have joined to make Bihar Tejashwi-filled. Tejashwi is the present, Tejashwi is the future.”

Sources reveal that Kumar was unhappy after the BJP denied him a ticket from the Pirpainti reserved seat, nominating Murari Paswan instead. Earlier, in his resignation letter, Kumar wrote that his political journey with the BJP had ended as the party no longer valued strong Dalit leadership.

With this switch, the Bihar Elections narrative has gained momentum, and RJD seems to be gathering fresh support as political alliances shift rapidly.

In the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, several outgoing MLAs have shown remarkable loyalty even after being denied party tickets. Despite intense political competition, these leaders from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have chosen to remain committed to their parties instead of rebelling.

From the Kosi-Seemanchal and eastern Bihar regions, around half a dozen MLAs who lost their chance to contest again continue working as active party members. Their calm response to being dropped shows that dedication and discipline still hold great value in Bihar politics.

In Bhagalpur, RJD MLA Ali Ashraf Siddiqui from the Nathnagar constituency accepted his party’s decision gracefully. Similarly, BJP MLA Bhudev Chaudhary from Dhoraiya in Banka stood firm with his party despite being denied a ticket. Their actions prove that true leadership is about loyalty, not power.

These loyal MLAs have set an inspiring example, showing that real commitment to party principles goes beyond personal ambitions. Their discipline has brought respect and admiration from both leaders and the public.

In Bihar, the BJP expels MLA Pawan Yadav after he decided to contest the 2025 assembly election from Bhagalpur’s Kahalgaon seat as an independent. Yadav, upset over being denied a ticket, filed his nomination against the NDA’s JDU candidate, Shubhanand Mukesh. This move was seen as an act of rebellion against the party.

The BJP leadership took serious note of this step. A letter from Bihar BJP headquarters stated that Yadav’s actions violated party discipline and harmed the coalition’s unity. Arvind Sharma, the state headquarters in-charge, confirmed that Yadav had engaged in anti-party activities by standing against the NDA’s official nominee.

The letter also mentioned that his conduct damaged the party’s image. Following recommendations from the disciplinary committee, BJP expels MLA Pawan Yadav from the party for six years. District President Santosh Kumar Sah emphasized that the organization stands above individuals, and such acts cannot be tolerated. This decision sends a clear message to party members about the importance of loyalty and unity within the NDA.

The key phrase “MLA Gopal Mandal protest” highlights the political tension. Mandal fears that his JDU ticket might be cancelled before the upcoming election. To express his demand, he, along with his supporters, camped outside the CM’s residence since early morning.

He said he won’t leave until he receives confirmation of his ticket. Mandal also stated that some senior leaders were plotting against him. Although he respects CM Nitish Kumar, he complained that the Chief Minister had not met him. His supporters shouted slogans backing him, denying rumors that his ticket was withdrawn. Mandal insists he will only leave if physically forced.

JDU MP Ajay Mandal from Bhagalpur has threatened to resign, accusing the party of ignoring local leaders. The JDU MP Ajay Mandal controversy started when he alleged he was not allowed to meet Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He said that despite being a local MP, his opinion was not considered in the ticket distribution process for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.

In his resignation letter to Nitish Kumar, JDU MP Ajay Mandal stated that people who never worked for the organization were being given tickets, while loyal district and local leaders were ignored. He expressed disappointment that his attempts to meet the Chief Minister were blocked, calling the incident disrespectful and unfair.

Ajay Mandal clarified that he holds no personal grudges but wants to protect the party’s image and Nitish Kumar’s leadership. He warned that ignoring grassroots workers and promoting outsiders could harm the JDU’s future. His resignation offer has deepened the internal rift within the party ahead of the elections.
