AIMIM fielded candidates in 25 seats this time. Most of these are in Seemanchal, a region where AIMIM performed well in the past. In 2020, the party won five seats and impacted the Grand Alliance’s hold on the Muslim–Yadav vote bank. This year, AIMIM candidates such as Akhtarul Iman, Ghulam Hasnain, and MD Sarwar Alam are leading by notable margins.

Seemanchal has always been a competitive zone. AIMIM’s rise may split Muslim votes, hurting the Grand Alliance and indirectly helping the NDA. However, some exit polls say the party may win fewer seats this time. Even so, today’s leads show that Owaisi’s party still holds a strong base in eastern Bihar.

Overall, the results mark a significant moment for AIMIM and the political balance in the state.
