Samrat Chaudhary said “Governance Is Not Anyone’s Birthright” while responding to criticism from Tejashwi Yadav in the Bihar Assembly. The remark came during a heated political exchange over comments related to the legacy of Lalu Prasad Yadav and his governance record.

Speaking strongly in the House, Chaudhary said Governance Is Not Anyone’s Birthright and no family has permanent rights over power. He accused opposition leaders of treating government like personal property and said democracy allows people to choose their leaders through elections.

Tejashwi had earlier criticized the BJP and referred to what he called the “Lalu school” of politics. In response, Chaudhary defended his party and argued that leadership should come through public support, not family background.

The exchange created loud protests in the Assembly as members from both sides argued over the remarks. The debate highlighted the ongoing political rivalry between the ruling BJP and the RJD in Bihar politics.

In Bihar, the Muslims reservation demand raised by minister Ashok Choudhary has triggered fresh political debate. The Muslims reservation demand focuses on giving benefits to those who converted from Scheduled Castes or who continue to work in traditional Dalit occupations.

Ashok Choudhary said reservation aims to address caste-based discrimination and untouchability. He argued that religion should not block benefits if social conditions remain the same. According to him, people who still face social exclusion deserve support under constitutional provisions.

The statement came during heated discussions in the state assembly. Opposition leaders pushed for raising the reservation limit to 85 percent. They staged protests and demanded immediate action from the government.

The ruling side stressed that any change must follow constitutional rules and legal procedures. Choudhary also indicated that larger policy matters could reach the Supreme Court if required.

The Liquor Ban in Bihar review demand gained attention after RLM MLA Madhav Anand raised the issue in the Assembly. He said a Liquor Ban in Bihar review is necessary to check whether the prohibition law has achieved its goals. Anand argued that illegal liquor sales continue despite strict rules.

He pointed out that the state has lost major revenue because of prohibition. He also claimed that many families still suffer due to alcohol abuse and poor enforcement. Anand urged the government to study both the benefits and the drawbacks of the ban.

However, the Nitish Kumar government rejected his demand. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary said the prohibition law will continue. He made it clear that the government has no plan to review or change the policy.

The debate has once again brought Bihar’s liquor policy into focus.
