Security agencies have increased checks in border districts such as Araria, Kishanganj, Purnia and West Champaran. Officers caught several suspects carrying fake Aadhaar cards, voter IDs and other documents. Investigators say local agents create these papers and charge large sums of money.

Police also found that some gangs use women to pose as family members to avoid suspicion during travel. Authorities have arrested more than 30 people linked to the racket.

Officials say they will tighten border surveillance and act strongly against document forgers and human trafficking networks.
