The Nitish Government Cancels ₹1426 Crore Investment Proposals in Bihar after reviewing several pending industrial applications. The state industry department rejected 48 proposals during the first stage of approval because many investors failed to meet required conditions.

Officials said most proposals lacked essential information even after repeated requests. Because of this, the government decided not to move them forward. The cancelled proposals covered sectors such as food processing, manufacturing, healthcare, plastics and rubber, renewable energy, textiles, leather, and wood industries.

Food processing had the highest number of rejected proposals, with 27 projects worth about ₹1241 crore. Several investors also withdrew their applications on their own, while a few projects did not qualify under the state’s industrial investment promotion policy.

Authorities said the review will remove inactive proposals and help the government focus on serious investors who follow state guidelines. The Nitish Government Cancels ₹1426 Crore Investment Proposals in Bihar decision is part of an effort to improve the approval process and attract genuine investments.

The Bihar semiconductor factory plan has taken a major step forward as the state government prepares to conduct surveys in 14 districts located along riverbanks. The survey will help identify suitable land for setting up a large semiconductor manufacturing unit in Bihar.

Under the Bihar semiconductor factory plan, officials will study districts located near the Ganga and other rivers. These areas offer easy access to water and power, both of which are critical for chip manufacturing. The districts included in the survey are Patna, Bhojpur, Buxar, Saran, Vaishali, Samastipur, Begusarai, Munger, Lakhisarai, Bhagalpur, Katihar, Khagaria, Saharsa, and Supaul.

The state’s Industry Department will carry out the survey and prepare a detailed report. Based on the findings, Bihar will send a proposal to the central government for approval. The state has already announced a new industrial policy to attract high-tech investments.

Officials say the project could turn Bihar into a key hub for semiconductor, electronics, and AI-based manufacturing. The factory is also expected to generate employment and encourage infrastructure development in riverbank regions.

If approved, the project will mark a significant milestone in Bihar’s industrial growth and technology push.

Bihar steel plant and electronic city proposal moved a step forward after 14 entrepreneurs presented a clear industrial roadmap to the state government. The Bihar steel plant and electronic city proposal was discussed during a high-level meeting with senior officials, where investors asked for faster approvals and strong policy support.

Business leaders shared plans to bring large manufacturing and technology projects to the state. One proposal focused on setting up a modern steel plant on around 150 acres of land. Another ambitious plan outlined a 2,000-acre electronic city that could attract global tech companies and create thousands of jobs.

Entrepreneurs also suggested jewellery manufacturing units, furniture factories, and climate-friendly housing solutions for flood-prone areas. They said these projects can strengthen local supply chains and support small businesses.

Chief Secretary Pratyay Amrit assured investors that the government wants results without delay. He said officials are ready to adjust policies if needed to speed up investments and remove hurdles.

During the meeting, investors raised infrastructure concerns. Officials responded quickly and promised immediate action on road and connectivity issues near existing plants.

If these plans move ahead, Bihar could soon emerge as a new hub for industry and technology.
