Their meeting helped ease tensions and move toward a final agreement on the seats within the NDA alliance.

The leaders discussed the seat distribution. JD(U) reportedly wants 100 seats, while BJP proposes around 40-42 seats. Both parties are focused on finalizing the deal soon.

Amit Shah arrived in Patna on Thursday morning. He met with BJP leaders before sitting down with Nitish Kumar. The discussions aimed to ensure a united front for the NDA in the elections.

Smaller parties, including RJD, are also eyeing the seat distribution. However, it remains unclear how many seats the NDA will secure in the elections. JD(U) and BJP aim to resolve the matter quickly.

Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) president and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi issued a stern warning to the NDA alliance ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections. Speaking in Bodh Gaya on Sunday, he said that unless his party is allotted 15 to 20 seats, it will contest independently on 100 constituencies.

Manjhi clarified that his party’s main objective is to gain official recognition from the Election Commission. “To achieve recognition, HAM must win at least eight Assembly seats. Considering vote share and realistic outcomes, we require 20 seats since we cannot win every seat we contest,” he explained.

He also stressed that HAM enjoys strong grassroots support, claiming at least 15,000 dedicated voters in each constituency. Manjhi said the cadre is prepared for a tough electoral battle if the NDA fails to accommodate the party’s demands.

Meanwhile, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has already declared that his party will contest all 243 Assembly seats in the state. This has intensified political tensions within both the NDA and INDIA bloc, as seat-sharing talks heat up before the elections.

The BJP assured that seat distribution will be based on strength, not on pressure, ensuring fair opportunities for all partners. This approach aims to maintain unity in the National Democratic Alliance and eliminate the “big brother” debate that often arises before polls.

Good News for Chirag Paswan

Sources suggest Chirag Paswan’s LJP (Ram Vilas) will receive the third-highest number of seats after BJP and JD(U). His independent performance in the last Assembly elections boosted his party’s bargaining power. The NDA is now set to reward him with a stronger role, highlighting his growing political influence in Bihar.

Equal Role for Allies

The BJP has clarified that leaders like Jitan Ram Manjhi and Upendra Kushwaha will also get seats according to their strength. This seat-sharing formula focuses on winning potential, considering social, political, and regional dynamics.

Final Announcement Awaited

Although the exact seat distribution numbers are yet to be revealed, the NDA’s cooperative strategy promises stability within the alliance. Once officially announced, the Bihar NDA seat sharing plan is expected to shape the state’s political narrative.
