Officials said the Bihar engineering and polytechnic teacher recruitment will include 1,239 vacancies in technical institutions. Out of these, 966 posts are for engineering colleges and 273 posts are for polytechnic colleges across Bihar.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary shared this information during a press briefing in Patna. He said the recruitment drive aims to strengthen technical education and improve the quality of teaching in engineering and polytechnic institutes.

The government believes that stronger faculty will help students receive better education within the state and reduce the need to move elsewhere for technical studies.

Earlier, the state also announced recruitment for 723 instructors and 1,093 laboratory assistants in engineering and polytechnic colleges to further support technical education infrastructure.

The Panchayat Block Teacher Recruitment Verdict relates to the 2006–2008 recruitment process for Panchayat and block-level teachers. Some candidates who were on old selection lists later received appointments when vacancies appeared in 2012. The state government later challenged those appointments and cancelled them.

A division bench of the Patna High Court dismissed several appeals filed by affected candidates. The court supported the state government’s decision and said the recruitment process had already ended in 2010.

The judges also stated that a merit list cannot remain valid indefinitely like a reserve panel. Vacancies that arise later must follow a fresh recruitment process.

The court further noted that some petitioners filed appeals after delays of six to eight years, which weakened their claims.

Tejashwi Yadav said thousands of candidates still wait for the TRE-4 Recruitment Bihar notification. He asked why the government has not released the vacancies yet. Many job seekers prepared for the exam and expected the announcement earlier.

The RJD leader said the previous government conducted teacher recruitment on time. He pointed out that TRE-1 and TRE-2 provided jobs to more than two lakh candidates. He claimed the recruitment process was transparent and fast.

Tejashwi also reminded the government about earlier promises to start TRE-4 soon. However, the government has not announced the vacancies so far. This delay has increased frustration among aspirants.

He urged the state government to release the notification quickly. He said young people in Bihar need jobs and clear opportunities.

Senior officials have sent reminders and held video conferences, but many districts have still not responded. Earlier, the Education Minister said vacancies would be sent to BPSC by September and that 26,000 posts may be included in TRE 4. The exam was planned for December, but now the year is ending and no final vacancy list is ready.

In the last two years, Bihar appointed over 2.6 lakh teachers in three phases. For the first time, TRE 4 will add domicile rules, reserving 85% of posts for Bihar residents.
