The Bihar government has approved Z Category Security for Bihar Deputy CMs Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Bijendra Prasad Yadav. The decision came soon after the new government took charge in Bihar. Officials said both leaders will now receive high-level protection along with trained commandos.

Under the new arrangement, Z Category Security for Bihar Deputy CMs will include around 22 security personnel. The team will consist of police officers and commandos from central forces such as Central Reserve Police Force and Indo-Tibetan Border Police. The security cover will also include escort vehicles, residential protection, and security while traveling.

Both leaders are senior members of Janata Dal (United) and currently serve as deputy chief ministers in the government led by Samrat Choudhary. Earlier, some deputy CMs had received Z Plus security, which is a higher level of protection.

The current government formed after Nitish Kumar stepped down from the chief minister’s post. For now, the chief minister and the two deputy CMs are managing the administration until the cabinet expands next month.

BJP leader Samrat Choudhary became the Chief Minister, while two senior JD(U) leaders took oath as Deputy Chief Ministers.

The ceremony was held at Lok Bhavan around 11 a.m. Governor Syed Ata Hasanain administered the oath to Samrat Choudhary. Along with him, JD(U) leaders Bijendra Prasad Yadav and Vijay Kumar Choudhary took oath as deputy chief ministers.

Interestingly, only three leaders took oath during this first ceremony. The NDA alliance plans to expand the cabinet later and include ministers from BJP, JD(U), LJP-Ram Vilas, HAM, and other allies.

This moment is historic because Samrat Choudhary became the first BJP leader to serve as Chief Minister of Bihar. His leadership signals a new phase in the state’s politics.

The Samrat Choudhary NDA government swearing-in is expected to shape the new government structure in the coming weeks as more ministers join the cabinet.

Finance Minister Bijendra Yadav tabled the budget in the state assembly on Tuesday.

Yadav finished his budget speech in just 12 minutes.
The short speech sparked sharp political reactions inside the House.

The government prioritised development, infrastructure, employment, education, and healthcare.
It focused strongly on youth, farmers, women, and rural areas.

The budget pushed major spending on roads, bridges, and urban infrastructure.
Urban water supply, sewerage systems, and traffic improvement projects received special attention.

Employment generation remained a key theme.
The government promised faster recruitment, skill training programs, and startup support.

Farmers received relief measures through better irrigation, higher productivity plans, and income-focused schemes.
The state also announced upgrades in agricultural infrastructure.

Education and healthcare featured prominently.
The government proposed strengthening schools, colleges, hospitals, and medical facilities across Bihar.

Industry and Road Construction Minister Dilip Jaiswal called it a “development-driven budget.”
He said it would boost industry, empower youth, and improve transport infrastructure.

JD(U) leaders praised the budget’s growth-oriented vision.
RJD criticised it, calling it a corruption-friendly budget with uneven fund allocation.
