In West Bengal, the Prime Minister reached Ranaghat in Nadia district around 11:15 am.
He inaugurated and laid foundation stones for national highway projects worth nearly ₹3,200 crore.
These included a 66.7-kilometre four-lane stretch of NH-34 between Barajaguli and Krishnanagar.
He also laid the foundation stone for a 17.6-kilometre four-lane section between Barasat and Barajaguli.

Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari attended the event.
Officials said these projects will strengthen road connectivity between Kolkata and Siliguri.
Travel time on the route is expected to reduce by almost two hours.

This rally marked PM Modi’s first visit to Bengal after the BJP’s strong Bihar performance.
The choice of Nadia is significant due to the large Matua and refugee population in the region.

Later in the day, PM Modi arrived in Guwahati for a two-day Assam visit.
He unveiled an 80-foot statue of Assam’s first Chief Minister Gopinath Bordoloi.
The Prime Minister also inaugurated a new airport terminal built at a cost of ₹4,000 crore.

During the Assam tour, projects worth over ₹1,600 crore will be launched.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is focusing strongly on the upcoming Bihar elections. This is his second visit to the state within just 10 days. On September 18th, he met party workers from 20 districts in Dehri-Onson and Begusarai. Now, on September 27th, he will return to Bihar for another round of meetings.

This time, Amit Shah will address BJP leaders and workers in three key locations—Araria, Saran, and Vaishali. Leaders from nearby districts will also join these meetings. The BJP is preparing its election strategy by dividing Bihar into five zones. Out of these, two zones have already held meetings on September 18th, while the remaining three zones are scheduled for September 27th.

These visits highlight the importance of Bihar in the upcoming polls. Amit Shah also held a meeting with Bihar BJP leaders in Delhi earlier this month. With frequent visits and zone-based planning, BJP is sharpening its approach to connect with workers and strengthen its base ahead of the Bihar elections.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has stepped up its Bihar poll campaign strategy with the deployment of six state organizing secretaries and nearly 150 women leaders. This move signals a focused push to strengthen booth-level presence and intensify voter outreach before the upcoming Assembly elections. The focus keyphrase BJP Bihar poll campaign highlights the party’s strategy to expand its influence across constituencies.

Bihar has been divided into five zones for streamlined campaign management. Two secretaries are overseeing the Seemanchal and Kosi regions, while four others handle different zones. Drawn from Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Manipur, Telangana, and Uttarakhand, these secretaries will stay in their assigned zones until polls conclude. They will report directly to the BJP’s central leadership, ensuring continuous coordination.

Women leaders are playing a key role in the BJP Bihar poll campaign. Around 150 women campaigners are actively reaching out to voters, with efforts covering 121 constituencies. Through door-to-door campaigns, they are focusing on connecting with households and highlighting the party’s agenda.

With senior leadership backing and strong grassroots mobilization, the BJP aims to maximize its reach and strengthen its electoral prospects in Bihar.
