]]> Bihar is gearing up for a strong cyber fraud crackdown with the help of new software being developed by C-DAC scientists. The state’s Economic Offences Unit (EOU) is leading the initiative to track and stop online fraudsters.

A Cyber Security Operation Center (CSOC) will soon be launched under the EOU. The Home Department has approved ₹14.74 crore for the project, which will fund advanced equipment and security tools. According to ADG Nayyar Hasnain Khan, the CSOC will make cybercrime investigations quicker and more effective.

The EOU has also set up a dedicated Research and Development wing with C-DAC experts. This team monitors social media 24/7 and helps solve complex cases. Investigations revealed that cybercriminals were even learning fraud techniques from YouTube and Google. Recently, three accused from Madhubani were caught for misusing Aadhaar and biometric data through such training.

To strengthen the fight, Bihar Police is coordinating with national agencies like CBI and CERT-In. Officials believe that once the CSOC is fully operational, the state will be able to act faster against cybercriminals and improve digital safety for citizens.
