A high-level meeting was held with NSC Chairman Professor Rajiva Laxman Karandikar, Dr. Saurabh Garg of MoSPI, and other members. Adityanath welcomed suggestions and expressed readiness to collaborate closely with NSC and MoSPI.

The discussion focused on strengthening UP’s statistical system to support its vision of becoming a one trillion-dollar economy. The Chief Minister appreciated efforts to improve State GDP estimation, Consumer Price Index, employment indicators, and industrial statistics.

NSC Chairman highlighted the importance of reliable statistics for evidence-based policymaking. Dr. Garg assured technical and financial assistance under the Support for Statistical Strengthening Scheme. The meeting also discussed using administrative data, leveraging technology for real-time reporting, and harmonising central and state statistical systems.
