Out of 67 districts selected nationwide under the JSJB program, eight districts from Telangana were included for their exemplary efforts. Among them, Adilabad, Nalgonda, and Mancherial (MNCL) were awarded in the Rs. 2 crore reward category, while Warangal (WGL), Nirmal, and Jangaon received recognition in the Rs. 1 crore category. Bhadradri and Mahabubnagar were honored in the Rs. 25 lakh reward category.

This achievement reflects Telangana’s commitment to sustainable water conservation practices and community-driven projects, setting an example for other states in India. The awards aim to further motivate local authorities and citizens to enhance water resource management across the region.
