Bihar Politics Rajesh Ram is back in action after facing a tough defeat in the recent Bihar elections. His loss created a big shock within the Congress camp, but Bihar Politics Rajesh Ram is now working again with fresh energy.

The Grand Alliance of RJD and Congress suffered a major setback. The alliance won only 35 seats. Congress contested 61 seats but won just 6. Rajesh Ram also lost his Kutumba seat to JDU’s Lallan Ram by more than 21,000 votes. This result created silence in the Grand Alliance for some time, but political activity has started again.

Rajesh Ram has now formed a three-member State Disciplinary Committee for Bihar Congress. He appointed Kapildev Prasad Yadav as the committee chair. Haseeb Anwar and Sanjay Kumar Bharti are the other members. This move shows that he wants to fix internal issues and rebuild the party.

Rajesh Ram had earlier won elections in 2015 and 2020 from Kutumba, but he failed to keep the seat in 2025. Before the election, the Congress high command made major changes by appointing Rajesh Ram as state president and Krishna Allawaru as election in-charge. However, the party could not improve its performance. Now, Rajesh Ram is trying to reorganize the organisation for the future.

Bihar’s political atmosphere has intensified once again as senior JDU leader and state minister Ashok Choudhary firmly ruled out any possibility of the party joining hands with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Speaking during a special political programme, Choudhary reiterated that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has made it clear “multiple times in public” that the JDU will not return to an alliance with the RJD under any circumstances.

His statement comes at a time when Bihar is witnessing renewed speculation around shifting political alliances and discussions about Nitish Kumar’s leadership. Choudhary dismissed rumours of a potential change in the Chief Minister’s post, saying there is “no vacancy” and that Nitish Kumar remains the unanimous face of the JDU-BJP alliance. He emphasized that the government is functioning smoothly and that the Chief Minister continues to enjoy strong support both within the party and from its coalition partner, the BJP.

The programme also brought insights from Congress spokesperson Arshdeep Khadiyar and a BJP representative, who discussed the strengths and weaknesses of the current JDU-BJP partnership. While the BJP side projected confidence in the coalition’s performance, the Congress highlighted governance gaps and accused the ruling alliance of failing to address key issues faced by the public.

A notable segment of the discussion focused on Ashok Choudhary’s well-known legal and political disagreement with Jan Suraaj founder and strategist Prashant Kishor. Choudhary maintained that the matter is being dealt with through appropriate legal channels and refused to escalate the controversy on air.

As Bihar inches forward in its complex political landscape, Choudhary’s comments reinforce the JDU’s current strategy–stability within the NDA, no rapprochement with the RJD, and a firm endorsement of Nitish Kumar’s continued leadership.

The Arrah Assembly seat has been a BJP stronghold for 20 years. This time, it is a real test for the Grand Alliance in Bihar elections. Since 2000, Amarendra Pratap Singh of BJP has won five times. In 2015, RJD’s Mohammad Nawaz Alam won once with JDU’s support.

In 2020, CPI(ML) candidate Kayamuddin Ansari lost by just 3,000 votes. Singh secured victory again. Now, due to his age, it is uncertain if he will contest. CPI(ML), with RJD’s backing, wants to take the seat. Congress has also shown interest, making the contest even tougher.

Arrah has seen many strong leaders in the past. Abdul Malik (Janata Dal) and Vashishtha Narayan Singh (Janata Dal) both represented this seat. Local issues remain the same: poor roads, floods, and waterlogging. Some promises, like the drainage system and new college, were completed. Yet, many, such as road repairs and bridge construction, were left unfinished.

In 2020, 15 candidates contested here, making it a crowded battle. With caste politics, alliances, and local problems at play, the Arrah Assembly seat is set to be one of the hottest contests in Bihar politics 2025.

Independent MP from Purnia and Congress leader Pappu Yadav said that Bihar MLAs will decide the Chief Ministerial face after the assembly elections. He made it clear that there will be no compromise on the honor of the Congress party. This has kept the debate open on who will be the Grand Alliance’s CM candidate. The key phrase Bihar Chief Ministerial face is central to this discussion.

Political activity in Bihar is heating up ahead of the elections. The Grand Alliance has not yet declared its CM face, while Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) workers have been projecting Tejashwi Yadav. Pappu Yadav stressed that the decision will rest with the elected MLAs. He also underlined that Congress will protect its respect and leadership role in this alliance.

He further said that just like the NDA, which has not announced a clear CM face yet, the Grand Alliance will also take a call after results. Meanwhile, Priyanka Gandhi will visit Motihari on September 26 and address a rally at Gandhi Maidan. Pappu Yadav believes her presence will strengthen the campaign against the NDA and inspire the youth and women of Bihar.

The Bihar Assembly election 2025 is heating up. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has launched sharp attacks on the BJP and the Election Commission. He claims voter lists are being tampered with to influence results. Rahul Gandhi’s Hydrogen Bomb in Bihar refers to what he calls “big evidence” of vote theft, which he promises to reveal soon.

In a press conference, he said illegal votes were removed in Karnataka and fake votes were added in Maharashtra. He described his proof as a “hydrogen bomb” that could shake politics. Earlier, he even hinted at an “atom bomb” of evidence.

This strategy, however, is making RJD and Congress allies uneasy. They fear Rahul’s focus on vote theft might push aside key issues like unemployment, migration, and poor services.

Surveys show only 21% of people see vote fraud as a top concern, while 32% rank unemployment first. Experts warn this gamble could either give Rahul a big win or backfire heavily on the Mahagathbandhan.

Yet, Muslim representation in power has stayed below 10% for decades. The last time it crossed 10% was in 1985, when 34 of 324 MLAs were Muslims. Since then, political presence has weakened.

Muslim voters play a crucial role in around 50–70 constituencies. This influence makes every party keen to attract them, but ticket distribution often remains limited. Historically, Muslims backed Congress, but dissatisfaction over governance led many to shift towards RJD, JD(U), and at times BJP.

The Bhagalpur riots of 1989 pushed Muslims further away from Congress, reshaping Bihar’s politics. Leaders like Syed Shahnawaz Hussain once gave BJP a Muslim face, but overall representation continued to fall. In the current Assembly, only 19 MLAs are Muslims, far below their population share.

Experts note that despite being a decisive vote bank, Muslims are not offered proportionate tickets. Even reserved seats are underutilized for Muslim candidates. Activists argue that until fair participation is ensured, the community will remain politically marginalized. This gap between numbers and power is now a major debate ahead of Bihar elections.

Police registered an FIR at the Singwara Police Station based on her statement.

The complainant, Gudiya Devi of Ward No. 7, alleged that leaders collected ₹200 from her. They promised to help her apply under the Mai Bahan Yojana, which assured ₹2,500 to women. She said the leaders misled her and collected money without providing any benefits.

The complaint directly names RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Yadav, former RJD MLA Rishi Mishra, and former Congress candidate Maskoor Ahmad Usmani. According to the woman, the accused also gathered Aadhaar numbers, bank account details, and mobile numbers of women in her locality.

Police confirmed the FIR and said an investigation is in progress. The case has triggered political tensions as the state moves closer to assembly polls. Leaders of rival parties have already started using the incident to attack their opponents during the campaign.

Nearly 70% of RJD leaders were defeated, showing a clear shift in the state’s politics. Nitish Kumar became the Chief Minister, and this result reshaped Bihar’s political landscape.

In February 2005, Bihar witnessed a hung assembly. No party could form a stable government, which led to President’s Rule for about 262 days. Later, in October 2005, re-elections gave the NDA a clear majority, bringing an end to instability.

On 24 November 2005, Nitish Kumar took oath as Chief Minister, while Rabri Devi of RJD became the Leader of Opposition. The public was tired of corruption, poor law and order, unemployment, and migration during the Lalu-Rabri era. Nitish’s promise of good governance and simple style appealed to the masses.

His Nyay Yatra across districts like Champaran and Kishanganj connected him with common people. In the re-election, NDA secured 143 seats with 36% votes, while RJD and Congress faced heavy losses. This mandate ended 15 years of Lalu-Rabri rule and gave Bihar a new political direction under Nitish Kumar.

The Bettiah Assembly constituency in Bihar’s West Champaran district is witnessing a political battle as Congress strives to regain control of the seat from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Historically significant due to land reforms following India’s independence, Bettiah has seen a shift in its political landscape. Congress, which once dominated the region, aims to reverse the dominance of the BJP, which secured the seat in 2015.

Reenu Devi, who previously represented the constituency and won the seat in 2000, has seen her political standing challenged by recent shifts in power. The BJP’s continued control has put Congress on the offensive, seeking to reclaim the seat and restore its political influence in Bihar.

Bihar, once a Congress stronghold, is now witnessing a resurgence of political competition, with Congress striving for a comeback. Reenu Devi’s defeat has provided an impetus for the Congress party’s efforts to reclaim Bettiah in the upcoming elections. The battle between Congress and BJP is intensifying as both parties vie for control of this crucial seat in the state assembly, marking a significant chapter in Bihar’s political dynamics.
