Counting continued for the Jubilee Hills by-election, and Congress candidate Naveen Yadav stayed ahead from the first round. Both BRS and BJP candidates struggled to close the gap as the rounds moved forward. By the end of the eighth round, Naveen expanded his lead to more than 23,000 votes. Officials also counted 101 postal ballots. Out of these, 96 remained valid. Naveen secured 43 votes, while BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha gained 25, and BJP candidate Deepak Reddy received 20.

The strong performance boosted the confidence of Congress workers. They watched every round with excitement as Naveen increased his lead each time. The trend signalled a clear advantage for the party. Supporters began preparations for celebrations after seeing the widening margin.

At Gandhi Bhavan, Congress cadres gathered in large numbers. They burst crackers and shared sweets as joy spread across the party office. Many leaders and workers raised slogans in support of Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Revanth Reddy. The festive atmosphere reflected their belief in an assured victory.

As counting approached the final rounds, Congress looked set for a comfortable win. Party leaders monitored developments closely, while supporters continued their celebrations across the city.

The Jubilee Hills by-election result is being announced as counting continues. Votes from the Sheikhpet Division have been completed. In the second round, the Congress registered 9,691 votes, while the BRS secured 8,609 votes. Together, both rounds have given the Congress a lead of 1,144 votes.

By the end of two rounds, the BJP received only 307 votes. A total of 31,182 votes were polled in the Sheikhpet Division. A slight advantage has been recorded for the Congress here. The party had focused on this division from the beginning and expected a larger lead. However, it managed to stay ahead with a margin of 1,144 votes over the BRS.

The BRS expected silent voters to support its candidate. Those expectations were not met, resulting in a setback for the party. With the counting in Sheikhpet completed, attention has now shifted to the Vengalrao Nagar and Somajiguda divisions.

These two divisions have a higher presence of settlers and upper-middle-class voters. The direction of these votes could impact the final result. Whether the BRS candidate can overtake the Congress will be known as the next rounds are counted.
