]]> The Leh Apex Body has intensified talks with the Centre, and Wangchuk Release Tops Ladakh demands for dialogue. As negotiations move forward, Wangchuk Release Tops Ladakh discussions highlight growing public anger over Sonam Wangchuk’s detention after the September 24 clashes. Leaders say general amnesty will rebuild trust between Ladakhis and the Union government.

The LAB submitted a 29-page draft proposal to the Home Ministry, urging the Centre to release Wangchuk and other detainees immediately. Members stressed that Ladakh has always embraced peaceful protests, so the administration must respond with transparency, empathy and accountability.

Along with amnesty, LAB continues to push for statehood and Sixth Schedule status. Leaders argue that constitutional safeguards will protect Ladakh’s land, culture and environment. They believe these demands reflect the aspirations of local communities.

LAB representatives also reminded officials about an earlier agreement with the MHA to find a constructive solution. They assured the Centre of their willingness to continue talks if meaningful action begins soon.

Residents hope the government will address the concerns quickly and restore calm. Many say a fair political roadmap will help Ladakh move forward with unity and confidence.
