Speaking to the media in Hyderabad on Wednesday, Goud said many people believe communist influence has declined in the country. However, he said this belief is wrong. According to him, communist ideology and grassroots presence remain strong in several regions. Mahesh Kumar Goud Comments on Communists highlighted that their political role still matters in shaping alliances and political debates.

Goud also spoke about the opposition in Telangana politics. He said people gave the opposition role to K. Chandrashekar Rao but claimed that the leader has stayed mostly at his farmhouse.

He added that the Congress respects opposition leaders and supports healthy democratic debate. Goud also alleged that earlier governments tried to weaken opposition leaders and influence MLAs for political gain.

Opposition parties say black marketing and price hikes are making it harder for farmers to access essential supplies. CPI state secretary Ram Naresh Pandey highlighted that DAP priced at ₹1,350 is selling for ₹1,800–₹1,900, and urea meant for ₹266 is being sold at ₹300–₹400.

Earlier, RJD accused traders of smuggling fertilizers to Nepal, blaming government officials for inaction. The state Agriculture Department says it has taken strong measures, canceling 83 fertilizer licenses and filing FIRs against illegal dealers.

CPI leaders also allege that the central government lowered fertilizer targets for Bihar, worsening the shortage. Farmers fear delayed or insufficient supply ahead of the Rabi sowing season.

Agriculture Minister Ramkripal Yadav rejected opposition claims and challenged them to provide evidence. Meanwhile, farmers continue to demand better monitoring and timely distribution of fertilizers.

The Bihar Left collapse in the Magadh and Shahabad regions surprised many political observers. These areas once stood as the strongest bases of Left parties, especially CPI (ML). The collapse became clear as results showed major losses across their traditional belts. The Bihar Left collapse also highlighted how difficult it became for these parties to convert vote share into real victories.

CPI (ML) started its journey in the Shahabad region. It once held several seats in Magadh and nearby districts. But this time, it failed to protect most of them. The party won only two seats, while its candidates lost in key areas like Dumraon, Agiaon, Tarari, and Karakat. In places like Siwan and Champaran, the party faced defeat even in old strongholds.

The CPI contested nine seats but could not win even one. The fight in Bachhwara became tough as Congress and CPI candidates ended up competing against each other, which weakened the alliance.

The CPI(M) also failed to win a single seat for the third time in Bihar. Earlier, this happened only in the 1952 and 1915 elections. This continuous decline shows the shrinking voter base of the Left parties in Bihar.

Despite some friendly contests within the Grand Alliance, the CPI-ML said unity remains strong across all 243 seats. Party leader Kunal confirmed cooperation on most seats.

Earlier, CPI-ML released its Parivartan Sankalp Patra promising major reforms — five decimals of land for the homeless in rural areas, fair crop prices, loan waivers for farmers, and pensions for women, elderly, and disabled citizens. The manifesto also proposed 65% reservation for deprived groups, inclusion in the 9th Schedule, and distribution of 21 lakh acres of land as per the Bandopadhyay Commission.

With this, CPI-ML support to Congress in Bihar elections signals a united front within the Grand Alliance, aiming for a strong performance on November 14.

The Bihar Elections 2025 have entered a crucial phase as today marks the last day for filing nominations for the second phase. The Grand Alliance faces internal tensions with Congress and CPI both contesting the Kargahar seat, showing weak coordination. Congress has renominated MLA Santosh Mishra, while CPI has fielded Mahendra Gupta.

In a major political twist, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s party, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), announced it will not contest the Bihar elections. Earlier, it had planned to fight from six seats. This move comes as a relief for RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, strengthening his position in the alliance.

Meanwhile, Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh’s wife, Jyoti Singh, entered politics as an independent candidate from the Karakat Assembly seat. She declared herself a “separated woman” in her affidavit, owning assets worth ₹18.8 lakh.

Bihar Congress President Rajesh Ram filed his nomination from Kutumba for the third time, expressing confidence in development politics. The RJD’s decision not to field a candidate there also benefits the Congress.

Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM released its first list of 25 candidates, including two non-Muslims. Bihar Elections 2025 continue to shape into an unpredictable political contest.

The Congress CEC finalizes candidates for the upcoming Bihar elections after a long meeting in Delhi. The session, chaired by Mallikarjun Kharge and joined by Rahul Gandhi, discussed over 50 seats. Senior leaders like KC Venugopal, Ajay Maken, and Rajesh Ram attended. According to Rajesh Ram, the CEC has approved the best candidates for quality assembly seats.

The Congress CEC finalizes candidates even as seat-sharing talks within the Grand Alliance remain unsettled. Shakeel Ahmed confirmed there’s no dispute with RJD, while speculation grows that the Congress may release its list before a final alliance deal. Meanwhile, CPI-ML and CPI have already released their candidate lists. Tejashwi Yadav hinted that the seat-sharing arrangement could be announced soon.

This move by the Congress shows confidence and unity, indicating the party’s readiness to contest effectively in Bihar.
