Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud said people should not underestimate communist parties in India.

Speaking to the media in Hyderabad on Wednesday, Goud said many people believe communist influence has declined in the country. However, he said this belief is wrong. According to him, communist ideology and grassroots presence remain strong in several regions. Mahesh Kumar Goud Comments on Communists highlighted that their political role still matters in shaping alliances and political debates.

Goud also spoke about the opposition in Telangana politics. He said people gave the opposition role to K. Chandrashekar Rao but claimed that the leader has stayed mostly at his farmhouse.

He added that the Congress respects opposition leaders and supports healthy democratic debate. Goud also alleged that earlier governments tried to weaken opposition leaders and influence MLAs for political gain.

Inflated Investment Claims: CPI(M) Leader Raghavulu Criticises State Government

CPI(M) leader B.V. Raghavulu sharply criticised the government for making what he called inflated investment claims. Speaking in Visakhapatnam, he said the State is presenting unreal figures and misleading people about the scale of development. Raghavulu added that such inflated investment claims create false hope instead of real progress.
He argued that projects showcased as major achievements either lack proper groundwork or remain stuck at the proposal stage. According to him, the government should focus on jobs, industry support, and public welfare rather than exaggerating numbers.
Raghavulu also said that the State must present clear data on investments, including how much money has actually reached Andhra Pradesh and how many projects have started work on the ground. He noted that transparency is essential for public trust.Local CPI(M) members supported his remarks, saying that unemployment and rising prices continue to trouble families. They claimed that large announcements are not improving the daily lives of workers, farmers, and small traders.
Raghavulu urged the government to set achievable targets and release action plans that citizens can track. He said genuine development will come only through honest reporting and steady implementation, not through big claims made at public events.

The Bihar Left collapse in the Magadh and Shahabad regions surprised many political observers. These areas once stood as the strongest bases of Left parties, especially CPI (ML). The collapse became clear as results showed major losses across their traditional belts. The Bihar Left collapse also highlighted how difficult it became for these parties to convert vote share into real victories.

CPI (ML) started its journey in the Shahabad region. It once held several seats in Magadh and nearby districts. But this time, it failed to protect most of them. The party won only two seats, while its candidates lost in key areas like Dumraon, Agiaon, Tarari, and Karakat. In places like Siwan and Champaran, the party faced defeat even in old strongholds.

The CPI contested nine seats but could not win even one. The fight in Bachhwara became tough as Congress and CPI candidates ended up competing against each other, which weakened the alliance.

The CPI(M) also failed to win a single seat for the third time in Bihar. Earlier, this happened only in the 1952 and 1915 elections. This continuous decline shows the shrinking voter base of the Left parties in Bihar.

AIMIM government dream grew stronger in Bihar after the party won five seats in the recent Assembly elections. This AIMIM government dream became louder when the party performed well in the Seemanchal region. AIMIM believes small victories can create new political openings.

Owaisi’s party said a government is possible if JDU, RJD, Congress, CPIML, CPIM, and AIMIM join hands. The numbers add up to 124 seats, which is enough to cross the majority mark of 122 in Bihar. AIMIM even shared a sample cabinet plan to show how this alliance could work.

The party suggested that JDU could keep the Chief Minister’s post, along with two Deputy Chief Ministers and 20 ministers. RJD would get six ministerial posts, Congress would get two, and Left parties would get one each. AIMIM also proposed Nitish Kumar as the PM candidate for 2029.

In Seemanchal, AIMIM contested 29 seats, mostly in Muslim-dominated areas. It tried to join the Grand Alliance before the polls, but the offer was rejected. So, the party contested alone. Vote splits helped AIMIM win five seats, though it narrowly lost many others. The party now hopes its regional strength can shape future alliances.

In Bihar, tensions within the Grand Alliance have intensified as the CPI(M) accused a Congress candidate of being a BJP agent. The controversy began in Bachhwara, where CPI(M) leader Ramnaresh Pandey claimed that Congress nominee Garib Das secretly helped the BJP in both 2020 and 2024 elections. He alleged that Das contested as an independent earlier, indirectly benefiting the BJP, and that his family has long cooperated with the saffron party.

The CPI(M) believes that despite its victory in Bachhwara under the Grand Alliance, the Congress fielded Garib Das again, ignoring past actions. Reports also suggest meetings between Das and BJP leaders, strengthening suspicions. CPI(M) stated that this “friendly fight” within the alliance is now an open political clash.

The RJD and Congress alliance dates back to 2005, but past rebellions have echoed today’s discord. Meanwhile, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi will soon address rallies in Bachhwara, Begusarai, and Khagaria. Her campaign visit marks her first rally in this election season, set against growing friction among Grand Alliance partners in Bihar.

Addressing the media in Kannur, AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal said, “SIR on the eve of elections is opposed by all parties in the INDIA bloc, including CPI(M). Chief Ministers like M K Stalin, Mamata Banerjee, and Hemant Soren have spoken against it, but Pinarayi Vijayan remains silent.” Venugopal accused the CM of double standards, noting that while CPI(M) leaders nationally have opposed the SIR, Vijayan has limited his comments to Kerala-specific issues.

Earlier, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Kerala, Rathan U Kelkar, had convened a meeting with all political parties.
Meanwhile, CPI(M) state secretary M V Govindan warned that conducting the SIR while the matter is pending in the Supreme Court could amount to contempt.
