The Development of Andaman Lakshadweep Priority for Modi Government focus aims to boost tourism, strengthen infrastructure, and protect local culture.

Shah said the islands may be far from Delhi but remain close to the government’s heart. He stressed that the Centre wants to transform Andaman and Lakshadweep into hubs of sustainable tourism while ensuring that their cultural heritage stays intact.

During the meeting, the Home Minister reviewed ongoing projects across both island groups. These projects include road upgrades, port improvements, better connectivity, and tourism facilities designed to bring long-term economic growth to the region.

Shah urged all central ministries to work together on tourism, trade, and infrastructure plans. He said that a holistic and coordinated approach will help unlock the islands’ full potential.

Officials highlighted that development in Andaman and Lakshadweep will open new opportunities for employment, local business growth, and eco-friendly tourism. The government aims to balance modern facilities with environmental protection, ensuring that the islands benefit without losing their natural beauty.

The Uttarakhand Governor, Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.), has approved the Uttarakhand Minority Education Bill, 2025. With this move, the Madrasa Board in the state will be abolished, and all Madrasas must now seek recognition from the Uttarakhand Minority Education Authority and affiliation with the state education board.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami called the decision historic. He said it will modernize education and provide equal opportunities to every child, regardless of class or community. The changes aim to make the state’s education system more uniform, inclusive, and future-ready.

From the academic session starting July 2026, minority schools must follow the national curriculum and the New Education Policy. Subjects like science, mathematics, and social studies will be compulsory. Technical education and vocational training will also be introduced, empowering students for better career prospects.

Uttarakhand is now the first state in India to integrate Madrasas into the mainstream education system. While some organisations raised concerns about preserving cultural and religious identity, the government assured that religious education will continue alongside modern studies. Experts believe this step will improve learning outcomes and promote social inclusion.

Amaravati: Nomadic tribes in Andhra Pradesh, historically marginalized and living on roadsides without proper identification or access to welfare schemes , have seen improvements under the YSRCP government . These communities, long neglected during previous coalition administrations, now receive support through Aadhaar cards, caste certificates, and other essential documents , ensuring access to government programs.

YSR Jagan’s administration has implemented targeted initiatives for 52 nomadic tribes , including land allocations, housing support, and educational assistance for children. For 12 particularly disadvantaged communities, special corporations have been established to oversee welfare and ensure their cultural heritage, such as traditional art forms, is preserved.

In contrast, previous coalition governments failed to fulfill promises regarding tribal welfare, including municipal representation, free electricity, and identification cards. YSRCP’s proactive approach reflects a commitment to uplifting nomadic tribes , improving their quality of life, and integrating them into mainstream social and economic programs while safeguarding their cultural identity.
