The Hayaghat Assembly Seat Result 2025 brought a clear win for the Bharatiya Janata Party in Bihar. BJP candidate Ram Chandra Prasad won the seat with a strong lead over CPM’s Shyam Bharti. The Hayaghat Assembly Seat Result 2025 became exciting as counting started because Shyam Bharti led in the early rounds. But Ram Chandra Prasad soon moved ahead and kept increasing his lead.

By the final round, Ram Chandra Prasad secured 77,222 votes. Shyam Bharti finished with 65,383 votes. The winning margin reached 11,839 votes, showing strong support for the BJP in the Hayaghat region.

A total of 13 candidates were in the race. Candidates from Jan Suraj Party and BSP also contested, but they could not make an impact. Voters focused mainly on the BJP and CPM candidates.

Ram Chandra Prasad had also won this seat in the 2020 election. His back-to-back wins show his growing influence in the area. The result also highlights BJP’s strong position in Darbhanga district.

The Hayaghat Assembly Seat Result 2025 once again shows the shifting mood of Bihar voters and the continued decline of left parties in this region.

In Bihar politics, Mukesh Sahni made a surprising move by replacing his brother Santosh Sahni with RJD rebel Afzal Ali Khan from the Gaurabauram seat in Darbhanga. The key phrase Mukesh Sahni replaces brother Santosh became the talk of the election just before the first voting phase. Sahni’s decision aimed to prevent a split in the Grand Alliance votes.

Earlier, Afzal Ali Khan had already received the RJD’s lantern symbol before the seat-sharing deal. Despite Lalu and Tejashwi Yadav’s efforts, Afzal refused to withdraw. Mukesh Sahni, showing political maturity, asked his brother to step down and supported Afzal to keep the NDA from gaining an advantage.

Tejashwi campaigned for Santosh, urging voters not to worry about Afzal’s rebellion. Later, Mukesh announced that this election was not about one MLA but about forming a Grand Alliance government. He appealed to VIP workers to support Afzal’s win, calling it a “big-hearted” move for unity.

This strategic decision by Mukesh Sahni replaces brother Santosh highlights party coordination over personal ambitions, keeping the Grand Alliance’s focus intact in Darbhanga’s complex political scene.

The seat, once dominated by communists and socialists, now carries the saffron imprint of the BJP. Minister Jivesh Kumar Mishra, a two-time MLA, is aiming for a hat-trick in 2025.

In the early years, Congress held Jale from 1952 to 1967. The Left made its mark in 1969, when CPI’s Khadim Hussain defeated Congress. Later, leaders like Tej Narayan Yadav of Bharatiya Jana Sangh and Abdul Salam of CPI fought tough contests. From 1990, Vijay Kumar Mishra dominated the seat, switching loyalties between Congress, BJP, and JD(U). His family’s grip ended in 2015 when Jivesh Kumar of BJP defeated Rishi Mishra in a decisive contest.

Today, Jale Assembly seat has 3.31 lakh voters, including 1.7 lakh men and 1.55 lakh women. Beyond politics, the region holds cultural importance, linked with Ahilya, Gautam Rishi, and the historic Gangewshwar Nath temple.

As the 2025 elections approach, Jivesh Kumar is preparing to retain his stronghold, while the opposition searches for a strong face. With history, caste, development, and ideology at play, Jale Assembly seat is set for another intense battle.
