Just four days after celebrating his 75th birthday, Nitish Kumar Delhi influence has become a major topic in Indian politics. The veteran Bihar leader is preparing to move to national politics by becoming a Rajya Sabha member, which may mark the end of his long tenure as Bihar’s Chief Minister.

The discussion around Nitish Kumar Delhi influence has grown stronger because of his long experience in both state and central politics. In the past, he served as a Union minister in the government led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee and also spent several years as a Member of Parliament.

Nitish Kumar has dominated Bihar politics for nearly two decades. He took oath as Chief Minister multiple times and built a strong political image during his leadership. Many supporters also call him “Sushasan Babu” because of his focus on governance, development projects, and welfare schemes.

Political observers say his party, JD(U), remains an important ally in the NDA alliance at the Centre. Because of his experience and political networks, Nitish Kumar may continue to influence decision-making in Delhi.

The Delhi Assembly erupts protest as AAP and BJP legislators clashed on Thursday over alleged insults to Sikh Guru Tegh Bahadur. The uproar disrupted proceedings and led to repeated adjournments in the House.

AAP MLAs accused BJP leaders of spreading an edited video that allegedly misrepresented comments by AAP leader Atishi. They demanded the suspension of Law Minister Kapil Mishra and other BJP MLAs who reposted the clip. According to AAP, the video hurt religious sentiments and distorted facts.

Meanwhile, BJP members strongly rejected the allegations. They accused AAP leaders of disrespecting Guru Tegh Bahadur and staged counter-protests inside the Assembly. As a result, sloganeering and disruptions continued throughout the session.

After order failed to return, Speaker Vijender Gupta intervened. He referred the matter related to Atishi’s alleged remarks to the Committee of Privileges for detailed examination. He said the committee would assess the facts and submit a report.

The Delhi Assembly erupts protest episode highlights growing political tension between the two parties. Observers say the controversy may continue to influence political discourse in the capital. For now, the Assembly waits for the committee’s findings to determine further action.

YS Sharmila launched a strong attack on Andhra Pradesh MPs for staying silent in Parliament. She said the state elected 36 MPs, yet none speak on crucial issues. She accused them of clapping for Prime Minister Modi while ignoring Andhra Pradesh’s rights. She said 11 years passed since bifurcation, but major promises still remain incomplete.

Sharmila argued that special status, Polavaram funding, the Kadapa steel plant and the Duggarajapatnam port were clear commitments. She said these guarantees are the rightful benefits of Andhra Pradesh. She added that not even five percent of these promises reached the people. She questioned the MPs’ memory and their responsibility towards the state.

She criticised BJP and state parties for focusing only on political gains. She said many MPs behave like rubber stamps in Delhi. She claimed their silence shows loyalty to Modi rather than the people. She said this attitude damaged the state’s progress and delayed key projects.

Sharmila questioned why leaders refuse to fight for special status when it could have boosted the economy. She accused Modi of cheating, Chandrababu of misleading people and Jagan of surrendering to the Centre. She said special status vanished from political discussions because leaders stopped raising their voices.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has strongly criticized Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta over her husband, Manish Gupta, attending an official government meeting. AAP leaders expressed serious concerns, claiming his presence in the government program raises questions about propriety and hints at nepotism, drawing parallels to scenarios depicted in the popular web series Panchayat.

The controversy escalated after a photograph showing Manish Gupta seated next to the Chief Minister during the official meeting was shared on social media platform X. AAP described this act as completely unconstitutional and inappropriate, emphasizing that spouses of government officials should not participate in formal administrative gatherings.

Party sources stated that such incidents blur the line between personal and official roles, undermining transparency in governance. The criticism reflects broader concerns over ethical conduct and the need to maintain the sanctity of public office, keeping personal affiliations separate from state affairs.

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday carried out searches at the residence of Delhi minister and senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Saurabh Bhardwaj in connection with an ongoing money laundering probe. Officials said documents and digital devices were seized during the raid, which began early in the morning and continued for several hours.

Reacting sharply, AAP condemned the action, calling it a “diversionary tactic” by the central government to shift attention from pressing national issues. Party leaders alleged that the ruling BJP is misusing investigative agencies to target opposition voices ahead of crucial elections. They described the raid as “politically motivated harassment,” claiming Bhardwaj has always maintained transparency in his public life.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), however, countered these allegations, insisting that the ED raid was based on credible evidence of corruption. BJP spokespersons claimed that a “major scam” linked to irregularities in contracts and fund management had come to light and that Bhardwaj would have to answer serious questions.
