Social media in elections is changing the way political campaigns work in India. Traditional rallies and long speeches are slowly losing importance as parties focus more on digital platforms. Today, a short viral video, meme, or online post can influence voters faster than a large public meeting. Political campaigns now rely heavily on data analysis and targeted messaging to reach specific voter groups. Social media in elections has become a powerful tool for shaping public opinion.

Political experts say modern campaigns depend on data and digital strategy. Parties study online behavior, search trends, and social media engagement to understand voters. This helps them create customized messages for farmers, youth, women, and employees. With AI and analytics, leaders can now deliver different campaign messages to different groups.

However, many parties still depend on old campaign methods such as rallies, posters, and large gatherings. Analysts warn that ignoring digital platforms could hurt their chances in future elections. Young voters consume political information mainly through smartphones and social media.

Experts believe the future of elections will depend not only on ground-level support but also on strong digital presence and smart online campaigns.

Political parties are putting all their strength into winning the Jubilee Hills bypoll, which could shape future political equations. Each party is deploying its top leaders and ground workers to secure victory. With over four lakh voters, leaders believe that 50 percent of them can decide the fate of the contest.

CM Revanth Reddy, ministers, KTR, Harish Rao, and Kishan Reddy are leading aggressive campaigns for their parties. The Congress, BRS, and BJP candidates are meeting voters in every street. Key divisions such as Rahmathnagar, Erragadda, Sheikpet, and Borabanda hold decisive minority votes. These divisions together have more than 1.1 lakh minority voters.

The BC reservation issue has also influenced the poll narrative. BC communities like Gouds, Yadavs, and Munnuru Kapus hold a strong presence in areas like Yusufguda and Vengalrao Nagar. Parties are now engaging directly with their community leaders to attract support.

Digital campaigning has gained momentum too. LED screens, roadshows, and social media war rooms are being used to influence voters. Fake online content and unofficial posts have also confused many voters, making the election atmosphere more intense.
