The Mutation of Land Records for Entire Family has become much easier in Bihar after the state government launched a new online facility. Through this system, families can now apply for land mutation and division using a single application instead of filing separate requests for each member.

Earlier, after dividing ancestral land, every heir had to submit a separate mutation application. This process took time and caused frequent delays. The new Bihar land portal removes this problem by allowing all family members’ names to be added together in one form.

Revenue officials said the updated system will reduce paperwork and speed up approvals. Applicants can upload documents online, track application status, and avoid repeated visits to government offices. The process also improves transparency and lowers the risk of disputes.

The portal aims to help farmers and landowners who often struggle with complex land record procedures. Officials believe the reform will also cut down on middlemen and corruption.

With this digital upgrade, Bihar continues to move toward citizen-friendly governance. The Mutation of Land Records for Entire Family process now saves time, effort, and cost for thousands of families across the state.

New tabs are already fixed on every MLA seat. Members will read documents, view notes, and submit questions through these devices. As a result, the overall work will become quicker and more organised. The NeVA system also helps the House run in a clean and efficient way.

Meanwhile, officials are completing all arrangements. They are working on security, traffic control, medical support, and cleanliness. In addition, CCTV cameras and parking spaces are being improved. Departments are coordinating so that the session runs smoothly.

The oath ceremony for the newly elected MLAs will take place on December 1. On the next day, the House will elect the Speaker. Later, the Governor will address both Houses on December 3. Debates on the Governor’s speech and the government’s reply will follow on December 4 and 5.

India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) has signed an MoU with the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) to provide doorstep Digital Life Certificate (DLC) services to pensioners under the Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995.

Under this partnership, IPPB will use its vast network of 1.65 lakh post offices and over 3 lakh postal service providers, including postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks. Equipped with digital authentication tools, they will help pensioners submit their life certificates from home, removing the need to visit bank branches or EPFO offices.

EPFO will bear the entire cost of issuing Digital Life Certificates, making the service completely free for pensioners. IPPB MD and CEO R. Viswesvaran said the initiative strengthens the bank’s mission to deliver citizen-centric financial services across India, especially to rural and semi-urban pensioners.

This move aligns with the government’s Digital India and Ease of Living initiatives. It ensures inclusive service delivery using biometric technology and postal infrastructure. Once the process is complete, pensioners will receive an SMS confirmation and can view their life certificate online the next day.

The Karnataka High Court on September 24, 2025, rejected X Corp’s petition challenging orders from central and state authorities to remove certain online content under Section 79 of the Information Technology (IT) Act. This ruling has caused serious concern for X Corp, the social media giant formerly known as Twitter Inc.

On September 29, 2025, X Corp issued a statement expressing deep concern over the order. The company said it will allow millions of police officers to issue takedown orders through a secretive online portal called Sahyog. According to X Corp, this approach lacks legal basis, bypasses Section 69A of the IT Act, violates Supreme Court rulings, and infringes on the constitutional right to freedom of speech and expression.

X Corp stressed that the decision creates a dangerous precedent for online governance. Arbitrary removals without transparency could weaken public trust in digital platforms. The company urged authorities to reconsider and adopt a framework that aligns with the law while protecting citizens’ rights.

Experts say this ruling could significantly impact how social media platforms operate in India. Civil society groups have also raised concerns about potential misuse of takedown powers, highlighting the need for clear rules and safeguards.

The Karnataka HC order sparks X Corp concern again, underscoring an urgent debate over free speech, law, and digital governance in India.
