Scindia recalled India’s space journey from Aryabhata to Chandrayaan-3, Aditya-L1, NISAR, and upcoming Gaganyaan missions. He said India has evolved from a follower to a global space leader. He urged coordinated SATCOM programs involving government, industry, startups, and academia.

The minister announced a Rs 900 crore National Satcom Monitoring Facility. It will protect spectrum assets and strengthen satellite gateways. He added that satellite communication will reach remote areas and benefit farmers, fishermen, doctors, and students.

Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India connected 99.9 percent of the population with 4.8 lakh 5G towers in just 20 months. Scindia stressed that Satcom is now a digital right. He said it will empower citizens and position India as a trusted global partner in space innovation.
