The DMK–AIADMK Alliance discussion intensified after the Assembly situation turned uncertain. Amid these rumours, TVK chief Vijay issued a stern warning during a meeting with party leaders and MLAs. He said if Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam join hands only to capture power, TVK legislators could consider resigning together.

TVK leaders argue that such a coalition would go against the people’s mandate. Political analysts believe the situation could lead to further tensions and trigger major changes in Tamil Nadu politics.
