The Andhra Pradesh government is planning to establish a unique cultural and traditional tourism center in the state capital, Amaravati, inspired by the famous Nami Island in South Korea. To study its design and management, an AP ministerial delegation, led by Minister Narayana, recently visited Seoul.

During the visit, Minister Narayana met with Nami Island CEO Miss Kyongo Poo, learning about the island’s strategies to attract tourists. Nami Island, spread over 4,60,000 square meters, is renowned for its lush trees, vibrant flower plantations, and well-planned cultural spaces. It hosts international conventions, music festivals, and cultural events, drawing visitors from around the globe.

The delegation plans to adapt these eco-friendly and culturally immersive methods to develop Amaravati as a “Blue-Green City”, combining natural beauty with tourism appeal. The project aims to position Amaravati as a world-class destination, showcasing Andhra Pradesh’s rich heritage while boosting tourism and local economic growth.
