Local body elections in Telangana have turned intense after the first phase of Sarpanch results. Although the ruling Congress secured the highest number of seats, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi also won a significant share. Therefore, leaders from both parties have gone on alert. Congress leaders have now focused sharply on the second and third phases of polling scheduled for later this month.

Meanwhile, senior Congress leaders have begun holding discussions with local representatives in polling areas. They believe stronger coordination can help the party win more seats. With only one day left for the second phase, leaders have urged cadres to work harder at the ground level. At the same time, party leadership has stressed discipline and unity to avoid internal damage.

On the other hand, BRS leaders have also reviewed their performance closely. They feel better mobilization could have improved results in the first phase. As a result, the party has intensified efforts in upcoming phases. Both parties now aim to maximize their seat count and strengthen village-level influence.

Interestingly, several MLAs failed to secure wins in their own villages despite winning large constituencies earlier. This trend has triggered political debate across the state. Analysts say local dynamics differ from state politics. In total, Congress won 2,864 villages, BRS secured 1,143, BJP won 185, and others took 43 seats.

RJD receives names of 300 traitors as the party reviews its defeat in the 2025 Bihar elections. In the first three days of meetings, RJD receives names of 300 traitors who allegedly worked against the party’s official candidates. The leadership wants to understand how internal sabotage damaged their chances.

The review began after the party suffered a major setback. Leaders like Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav asked all candidates to submit details of those who supported rival parties. Three divisions—Magadh, Saran, and Purnia—have already submitted lists.

In Purnia, both winners and losers shared detailed reports. Many names appeared in the sabotage list. The party’s division-wise review started on Wednesday and will continue until December 4. Reports will be collected from Tirhut, Bhagalpur, Patna, and other divisions.

From December 5 to 9, the second phase will start. District presidents, general secretaries, and state officials will share their views on the traitor lists. Those whose names appear will also get a chance to explain.

If their answers fail to satisfy the leadership, strict action may follow, including expulsion from the party.

The key phrase Uday Narayan Chaudhary auto arrival drew attention as RJD continued its review of the Bihar election defeat. On the second day of the meeting in Patna, senior leaders gathered to discuss the reasons for the loss. Uday Narayan Chaudhary auto arrival became a talking point when the former Assembly Speaker reached the RJD office in an auto-rickshaw.

His simple travel choice surprised many party workers. Photos showed him getting out of the auto in front of the RJD office. Leaders said that this meeting was important for identifying mistakes and understanding public opinion.

RJD planned this review in two phases. The first phase runs until December 4. The second phase will begin on December 5 and continue till December 9. During these days, district presidents, general secretaries, and state officials will join the discussions.

The party is also checking the names submitted by candidates. Those accused of harming the party will face questions. If their answers are not satisfactory, the party may take action.

RJD leaders from Saran and Purnia will attend meetings later this week. They will share their views on future strategies and public issues as the party works to rebuild its strength.

He emphasized that all campaign-related expenditures must appear accurately in each candidate’s expenditure register. This step aims to ensure transparency and accountability throughout the electoral process.

On Wednesday, he conducted a surprise inspection at the GHMC Head Office, reviewing key election monitoring facilities. These included the Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC), Electronic Media Monitoring Room, Model Code of Conduct (MCC) Control Room, 1950 Complaint Centre, and Social Media Monitoring Cell. He praised officials for their effective operations while suggesting minor improvements for quicker reporting.

Additionally, he instructed teams to closely monitor rallies, public meetings, roadshows, advertisements, and paid news. All activities should be video-recorded, and related expenditures entered daily into official registers. During the inspection, MCC Nodal Officer Narasimha Reddy, MCMC Member Secretary Mamindla Dasharatham, and Control Room OSD Anuradha briefed him. Chief Examiner of Accounts P Venkateshwar Reddy accompanied the Observer and provided guidance.

Later, he held a review meeting with the District Election Officer at GHMC Head Office. Police Observer Om Prakash Tripathi inspected polling stations, DRC Centres, and security arrangements at Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy Stadium. Meanwhile, officials reported that 211 candidates filed 321 nominations, with withdrawals allowed until October 24.
