Congress Questions 25 Million Job Promise

Congress leader Pawan Khera has raised doubts over the claim of 25 million (2.5 crore) government jobs in Bihar. He said before talking about such promises, the government should explain how thousands of acres of land were given to Adani for just ₹1. He argued that if public land is being given away cheaply, questions about funds for employment are valid.

In the Bihar Assembly elections, development and job creation are the main issues. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav promised one government job per family, but Khera questioned how the budget for 2.5 crore jobs would be managed. He accused the BJP of favoring industrialists and transferring land for almost nothing. Khera said industrialists should work, but not at the cost of public property.

He also criticized the BJP for using government schemes for election benefits, saying people now recognize such “election schemes.”

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav govt job promise has stirred Bihar politics. He announced that if his Mahagathbandhan government is formed, a law will be passed within 20 months to ensure one government job for every family with no employed member. He said this law would be made within 20 days of assuming power.

Tejashwi also reminded Nitish Kumar of his earlier statement questioning his 10-lakh-job pledge. He claimed he created five lakh jobs in 17 months and had three lakh more pending. Attacking Nitish Kumar, he said the current government only talks about allowances instead of real job creation.

Yadav promised that not just one or two parties, but the entire Bihar would run the government together. He emphasized that once every family has a job, people from every house will contribute to running the government effectively.
