The Visakhapatnam Partnership Summit achieved huge success and created a new investment record for Andhra Pradesh. A total of 4,975 delegates from 60 countries attended the summit, including 630 international representatives. Major global companies expressed strong interest in establishing industries in the state. The government estimated ₹10 lakh crore investments, but the final figure reached ₹13.26 lakh crore, which is 30 percent higher.

The coalition government focused on industrial development from day one. Regular SIPB meetings were held to approve projects without delay. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu visited Singapore, UAE, and London to invite investors, while IT Minister Nara Lokesh met investors in the United States, Australia, and London. Their outreach gained a strong response at the summit and boosted global confidence in Andhra Pradesh.

A total of 613 MoUs were signed covering various sectors, offering 16.31 lakh employment opportunities. Of the total investments, ₹7.63 lakh crore deals were signed in the presence of the Chief Minister. Over 700 B2B meetings were held during the summit, and top corporate groups participated in discussions focused on technology, healthcare, aviation, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure, and tourism growth.

The state projected itself as a stable and transparent investment destination. The government now aims to convert MoUs into ground-level implementation through faster infrastructure expansion, skill development, and special technology hubs. The summit positioned Andhra Pradesh as a competitive global investment hub once again.

Officials confirmed that the MoU includes terms for land allotment and tax incentives. The state aims to attract significant investments through such strategic partnerships. The project is expected to boost employment opportunities and industrial development in Andhra Pradesh.

Recently, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan expressed concerns about the Lulu Mall deal. He criticized plans for beef exports through the mall and opposed excessive conditions imposed on investments.

Indian equities are set to rebound as key factors behind their recent underperformance begin to reverse, Morgan Stanley said in a report. The firm expects front-loaded capital expenditure and GST rate cuts to drive growth in the coming quarters.

Morgan Stanley sees a 50 per cent chance that the BSE Sensex will reach 89,000 by June 2026, implying a 6 per cent upside. It said India’s growth cycle will strengthen, supported by RBI’s rate cuts and a lower cash reserve ratio (CRR).

The firm cited deregulation, liquidity infusion, and a possible India-US trade deal as major catalysts. It added that easing ties with China and GST cuts worth ₹1.5 trillion could lift investor sentiment. Analysts believe falling oil intensity in GDP and stronger exports will help cut real rates and steady inflation.

Morgan Stanley prefers domestic cyclicals such as financials, consumer discretionary, and industrials over defensives. The firm expects stronger foreign inflows and monetary easing to further boost India’s equity outlook in the near term.

Foreign portfolio investor (FPI) selling in Indian markets slowed significantly in October, analysts said on Sunday. The change reflects valuation adjustments and improved growth prospects for India.

Valuation differentials between India and other markets narrowed after rallies elsewhere. Experts expect GST cuts and low interest rates to boost India Inc’s FY27 earnings. FPIs turned net buyers in the cash market during the last four sessions, buying Rs 3,289 crore.

Global sentiment has weakened due to renewed US-China trade tensions. US tariffs on Chinese imports and export restrictions have raised uncertainties. FPI flows will depend on how this trade situation evolves, analysts said.

Nifty50 rose 104 points to 25,285 amid improving geopolitical and trade sentiment. Collaborations between India and the UK across sectors, including education and defence, also supported investor confidence. Investors will now track India’s retail inflation data for September.

The coming week is expected to be crucial for Indian equities as multiple domestic and global developments unfold. Investors are closely watching GST 2.0 implementation, H-1B visa fee hikes, and India-US trade talks. Foreign institutional investor (FII) activity will also guide market momentum.

From September 22, GST 2.0 will reduce the current four-rate structure to two slabs: 5 per cent and 18 per cent. Taxes on several goods have been cut, promising immediate relief for consumers. Market participants expect the reforms to boost business sentiment.

US President Donald Trump announced a sharp increase in the H-1B visa fee to $100,000. The fee will apply only to new visa applications. Any progress in India-US trade negotiations could further impact investor confidence, as a US delegation is currently in India.

The domestic market ended last week on a strong note. Nifty gained 0.85 per cent to 25,327.05, while Sensex rose 721.53 points to 82,626.23. Sectoral indices such as PSU banks, realty, energy, and services recorded healthy gains. FIIs sold equities worth Rs 1,327.38 crore, the lowest outflow in weeks, while DIIs bought Rs 11,177.37 crore.
