Samiti leaders met the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Mysuru and sought a joint public meeting. They asked district collectors of Kodagu and Mysuru to attend the meeting. The gathering was demanded in a haadi with public participation. Leaders warned of forest checkpost blockades if no response comes within seven days.

The group raised two key demands during the talks. Full implementation of forest rights formed the primary demand. Members also called for an end to tiger safaris on traditional lands. They said such activities damage livelihoods and cultural ties to the forest.

The padayatra began on December 21, 2025, at Tithimathi in Kodagu district. It ended on January 2 at Kerehaadi in Mysuru district. Adivasis from 52 haadis walked through 29 villages. Leaders said the march strengthened awareness and unity among forest communities.
