Created by Grandmaster Maurice Ashley, Clutch Chess features a dynamic scoring system where point values increase each day. Day 1 wins are worth 1 point and USD 1,000, Day 2 wins 2 points and USD 2,000, and Day 3 wins 3 points and USD 3,000.

The winner of Clutch Chess: The Legends will take home USD 70,000, while the runner-up earns USD 50,000. The 12-game event uses Chess 960 format, drawing a new position each day to ensure unpredictability and excitement.
