Life sciences CEO Shakti Nagappan and RMIT Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Catherine Itsiospoulos signed the agreement. Joint PhD programs, faculty-student exchanges, and collaborative research opportunities will be introduced.

Sridhar Babu also met representatives of mining giant Orica, encouraging further investments in Telangana’s industrial and infrastructure sectors. Orica CEO Sanjeev Gandhi agreed to collaborate on industrial innovation, sustainable manufacturing, mining, and digital transformation projects in the state.

Telangana plans to launch a Life Sciences School to train youth as experts in the sector. The agreements aim to boost investments, create a ready-to-work skilled workforce, and develop Telangana’s life sciences economy to reach $250 billion by 2030, establishing a blueprint for a future Genome Valley.
