Union Minister Giriraj Singh recently sparked controversy in Bihar. He claimed India’s 1947 partition happened on religious lines. Muslims moved to Pakistan, and Hindus stayed in India. Singh argued that if Hindus had stayed together, leaders like Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav would not have risen in politics.

Singh criticized Congress and RJD for ignoring the effects of partition. He said these parties silence the history of the split and prevent future leaders from understanding it. Singh emphasized that political leaders should face historical facts.

Opposition parties, including Congress and RJD, quickly condemned his remarks. They accused Singh of using the sensitive topic for political advantage. However, Singh defended his views. He argued it is important to acknowledge the truth about India’s past.

This controversy adds fuel to the ongoing battle between the BJP and opposition parties, especially on issues related to Pakistan’s role in India’s history.

Union Minister Giriraj Singh surprised everyone by chanting “Nitish Kumar Zindabad” at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Purnia, Bihar. The gesture stood out because Singh is known for his sharp criticism of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

For years, Singh has attacked Nitish with strong remarks. In 2013, when Modi’s name was floated as BJP’s prime ministerial candidate, Singh openly backed him and accused Nitish of jealousy. He even compared him to a “quarrelsome village woman” before the 2014 elections. Singh also alleged that Nitish weakened national security and encouraged extremists through his shifting alliances.

However, Singh’s tone has not always been the same. At times, he praised Nitish’s leadership and even demanded a Bharat Ratna for him. Later, he returned to calling him opportunistic and anti-Modi. His speeches and tweets from 2013 to 2024 show this pattern of changing views.

Now, Singh’s fresh slogan in Purnia—where he shouted both “Narendra Modi Zindabad” and “Nitish Kumar Zindabad”—has revived political debate. Analysts believe this balancing act reflects Bihar’s changing political ground, where Nitish continues to play an important role in alliances.
