Pappu Yadav reacted strongly to the interruption. He said Giriraj Singh used to visit his house and eat “bhunja.” Yadav also said he had already won five elections before Singh entered politics.

His remark caused loud reactions in the Lok Sabha. Several members started shouting during the exchange.

Giriraj Singh responded quickly. He questioned Yadav about his role during the government of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Yadav replied that he worked with leaders during that time. He also said he had links with the Federal Democratic Party connected to the NDA.

The presiding chair soon stepped in and asked both leaders to calm down. After that, the House continued its discussion.

Singh made these remarks during a discussion about the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections in Bihar. He questioned Tejashwi’s leadership and challenged him to contest the election. He said the results will show the real support base of his party.

The hijab controversy in Bihar has taken a sharp political turn after Union Minister Giriraj Singh openly supported Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The hijab controversy started when Nitish Kumar removed the hijab of a Muslim woman doctor during an official appointment letter distribution event.

Giriraj Singh said Nitish Kumar did nothing wrong. He stated that India is a secular country and not an Islamic nation. According to him, official work needs clear identification.

He explained that people show their faces at airports, passport offices, and government counters. So, showing one’s face to receive an appointment letter should not create an issue.

Giriraj Singh also said the Chief Minister acted like a guardian. He added that rules and discipline must apply equally to everyone.

However, the incident has drawn strong criticism. Many opposition leaders called the act disrespectful and against personal dignity. Some activists demanded an apology from the Chief Minister.

The issue has now moved beyond Bihar. Leaders from different states reacted strongly, and social media debates intensified.

Supporters of Nitish Kumar say the issue is being politicised. Critics argue that personal and religious boundaries were crossed.

The hijab controversy has now become a larger debate on governance, respect, and individual rights in public life.

Bulldozer action in Bihar has created strong reactions across many districts. In Begusarai, a young man expressed his anger in an unexpected way. He said the bulldozer action in Bihar destroyed his house and tea stall without any notice. Hurt and frustrated, he cut his braid in front of the camera. He said that he followed Modi and Giriraj Singh as his role models and kept the braid for ten years.

He added that his house was his pride. When it vanished, he felt the braid had no value. His video quickly became viral. In another moment of protest, he tied a saffron scarf around a dog’s neck.

The administration has continued its drive to clear illegal encroachments in Begusarai and other districts. JCB machines removed several small structures, including huts and tea stalls. The youth, named Kundan, stepped into the scene and cut his braid while the operation was going on.

Across Bihar, bulldozers are clearing encroachments along roads, railway lines, and near the NH. Patna has also formed teams to remove illegal structures.

In Bihar Elections 2025, Union Minister Giriraj Singh became the first voter in his booth at Barhiya, Lakhisarai. The polling began at 7 a.m. at Middle School Barhiya No. 2, and Giriraj Singh arrived early, waited in the queue, and cast his vote. His active participation in the Bihar Elections 2025 Giriraj Singh event marked a symbolic start to the polling day.

Before voting, Giriraj Singh performed puja at his village temple. He said India’s identity is rooted in Sanatan Dharma, and this belief inspired him to vote after performing rituals. Later, he stated that if temples are not built in India, they will be built in Pakistan. He also attacked Lalu Prasad Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav, and Rahul Gandhi, accusing them of neglecting Hindu sentiments.

Giriraj Singh further claimed that while mosques have increased from 3,000 to 3 lakh since Independence, temples in Pakistan were demolished. He said India must protect its Sanatan heritage and temple culture. His remarks added a strong religious tone to the Bihar Elections 2025 Giriraj Singh campaign.

Political tension in Bihar Assembly elections has taken a personal turn, with Rahul Gandhi marriage Bihar elections becoming a hot topic. The debate began when Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge mocked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying he was roaming around Bihar “as if it were his son’s wedding.” BJP leader Giriraj Singh quickly replied, saying that if the “Congress prince ever gets married,” he would surely attend.

This exchange added a dramatic twist to the campaign, turning light sarcasm into a trending political discussion. Giriraj Singh’s remark was seen as a veiled jab at Rahul Gandhi, who remains unmarried. The incident shows how even personal remarks are being used as tools in the fierce Bihar election battle.

As campaign noise grows, such statements show the shift from policy debates to personality-driven politics. While leaders trade witty comments, voters wait for real issues to take center stage.

Union Minister Giriraj Singh launched a strong verbal attack on Tejashwi Yadav during Bihar’s heated political phase. Singh said Tejashwi is young, and so is his tongue—immature and unreliable. He added that Tejashwi failed to keep promises and owes his political survival to Nitish Kumar. Singh mocked that the entire Lalu family should worship Nitish’s photo for keeping their politics alive.

Giriraj Singh didn’t stop there. He accused the Grand Alliance of being full of “ticket sellers” and said people would never trust such parties. He recalled Lalu Prasad Yadav’s promise to build smooth roads but said it was the NDA government that actually fulfilled it, creating roads “as smooth as his sons’ cheeks.” These remarks show how the Bihar political war of words is intensifying before elections.

He noted that such success has never been repeated.

For the 2025 Bihar polls, NDA partners faced tough talks. Chirag Paswan’s LJP-RV, which contested 135 seats in 2020 but won only one, had to give up 29 seats. The BJP and JDU also reduced their seat shares — BJP from 112 to 101 and JDU from 115 to 101. Giriraj Singh’s post reignited discussions on alliance unity and performance comparisons.

This new arrangement echoes the intense seat negotiations of the past, highlighting the balance between ambition and unity in Bihar’s politics.

India is working to expand its textile sector to $350 billion by 2030, with $100 billion in exports. Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh said the goal also includes making the industry carbon-neutral. He called cotton the soul of Indian agriculture and praised farmers’ resilience on World Cotton Day.

Addressing an event by the Ministry of Textiles and CITI, Singh said the sector faces climate change and sustainability challenges. He urged efficient use of water and electricity to protect nature. He added that renewable energy and soil conservation are vital for cotton farmers’ prosperity.

Singh said India covers 40% of the global cotton area but has low productivity compared to other countries. The government’s Mission for Cotton Productivity aims to bridge this gap. He noted that the rise in Minimum Support Prices shows the government’s commitment to farmer welfare.

The minister highlighted opportunities in natural fibres like ramie, flax, and milkweed. Minister of State Pabitra Margherita said India must lead in quality and sustainability. He added that the Kasturi Cotton initiative supports the government’s ‘5F’ vision — from farm to foreign markets.
