The victim was preparing for competitive exams and stayed in a girls’ hostel in Patna. According to her family, the hostel warden and owner regularly harassed her. As a result, she lived under constant mental stress.

Moreover, the family claimed that the hostel staff often threatened and scolded the girl over small matters. Because of this pressure, she reportedly felt scared and emotionally disturbed. Eventually, her condition worsened.

Soon after the incident, the family informed the police and demanded strict action. They also accused the hostel management of delaying information and trying to hide facts.

Meanwhile, police officials reached the hostel and began an investigation. They questioned the warden, owner, and other staff members. In addition, officers recorded statements from fellow students.

Doctors sent the body for post-mortem to confirm the cause of death. After receiving the report, police said they will take further legal action.

Overall, the incident has renewed fears about student safety in private hostels across Patna.
