Telangana is being shaped into a globally competitive state, said Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka. He took part in the 80th Scientific Temperament Celebrations organised by Vijnan Darshini in memory of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. The vision of Nehru towards science and democracy was praised during the event.

The Deputy Chief Minister stated that the Telangana government is fully committed to building a scientific society. He mentioned that Nehru not only laid a foundation for science but also strengthened democratic values to match global standards. His contribution was recognised as a major turning point for modern India.

Bhatti Vikramarka mentioned that India’s situation would have been unstable without Nehru as the first Prime Minister. Nehru identified economic, educational, agricultural and food challenges soon after Independence. His long-term planning ensured national development on scientific lines.

He also appreciated Nehru for introducing Five-Year Plans and mixed economic policies. These policies supported agricultural and industrial development, ensuring strong progress. The Deputy Chief Minister stated that scientific advancement alone can strengthen the nation and Telangana will continue to move in that direction.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk could earn as much as USD 1 trillion over the next decade if the company achieves highly ambitious goals, according to documents disclosed Friday. The proposed compensation plan ties rewards to milestones in vehicle production, robotics, AI, and market value.

For Musk to unlock the package, Tesla must reach a USD 2 trillion market cap and deliver 20 million vehicles, compared with fewer than 2 million in 2024. The plan also calls for the rollout of 1 million robotaxis and 1 million AI-powered humanoid robots. Musk must remain with Tesla for at least 7.5 years to claim partial benefits and a decade for the full payout.

The proposal also increases Musk’s voting power within Tesla. Shareholders will vote on the package at the company’s annual meeting scheduled for November 6. A Delaware court earlier struck down Musk’s previous record USD 44.9 billion package, which investors later reinstated.

However, Tesla faces serious challenges. Its shares are down 25 per cent this year, partly due to Musk’s political ties and weak sales in Europe and China. In its latest quarter, profits fell from USD 1.39 billion to USD 409 million, raising investor concerns about future growth.
